' Winter Light '

Winter Light on frozen rivers, frozen streets.
Frozen lives still somehow going through the motions.
The shortest days can last so long,
and so it's one step then another.
I'm just a snow-blind traveler lost without the sight ....of Winter Light.
Winter Light is cold, but it can show things clear.
Underneath the ice the river keeps on flowing.
Somewhere a voice sings of Noel,
and in the morning streets are shining.
I watch these frozen wings beginning to take flight,
they fly to Winter Light.
Light eternal, light everlasting.
Shine clear and bright.
