Arrival Story:
Well, I used to do volunteer work for the city of Plano's animal shelter. I saw this mean little guy named Rex just shaking away in his kennel. No one would adopt him because of his attitude problem. He would bite at anyone who tried to put a loop leash over his head, let alone come into his kennel.
So one day, I decide that I'm going to take him out to the back to get some fresh air, and he actually lets me put a leash on him. He wouldn't walk, but he let me carry him. Poor thing was too scared to walk around, so he decided that he wanted to curl up in my lap instead.
I decided right then to take him home! He's been an amazing dog thus far, even getting over loads of his fears and becoming more social by the day. =]
Bio:
Little Mel still has some social problems. He's really iffy when it comes to strangers, and greatly dislikes other animals.
But I believe that, since he has overcome his other fears, then he will overcome his social phobias as well.

Oh cool guys! My mommy has been teaching me tricks! So far, I can sit on command, lay down on my belly, stand up on my back paws, and roll over on my back!!
I absolutely love the attention I get from doing my tricks! Yay!

Hi guys! Sorry that it's been so long that I've updated, but I've just been so busy lately. My folks have been working with me on getting me more social, and would you believe it? I made a new friend named Summer! She's the best!
Oh, and we moved to Plano into a really nice new place with lots and lots of other pups for me to get to know. I've been acting like a tough guy, but really, I'm enjoying all the new furry faces.
Do you like my new picture? My mommy says that my fur is getting longer and curlier. I believe her, of course. So I make sure to groom and groom to maintain my handsomeness. Oh yes!
Ok, time for me to go back to sleep. Stay fluffy my friends!

Oh yeayuh! Today we went to the park! It was pretty cool...we walked around and got a little sweaty. Plus, there were these huuuge ducks there, and I just couldn't stand to not chase after them. That is, until my leash ran out of length! >=[ That's ok though, I'll get them next time, you betcha.
Mommy says I'm starting to get a little fat! I wonder why though? I've been walking every morning with her...it must be all the tastey treats that I manage to sucker out of her. Heheh!
Oh oh! I'm really happy that I've allready made so many puppy pals on this site! Thanks so much for the welcomes and compliments on my looovely pictures. I really do appreciate it. I can't wait to talk with you pups soon!
