Arrival Story:
After we settled into our new home we decided it was time for a second dog. So we went to the nearest shelter and they only had 1 dog, a huge, skinny, and sweet Bluetick Coonhound, we begged mom to let us get him but she said he was way too big. 4 days later after looking everywhere else we went back with dad(and without mom) to see if they had anymore dogs and he was still the only one there, the woman told us he had been there 2 months after being found abandoned in the woods, and he would be put down the next day.... And we went to the lobby and dad did the paper work and we took him home.

Bio:
After taking him home he got a bath and it looked as if someone put motor oil on him, we had to wash him 3 times to get him clean. After that it was time for mom to get off work, and she still didn't know that we got him, we went to pick mom up at work and she got into the van and said OH MY GOD and he looked at her with a dopey look and she fell in love with him... 2 Days later before Buster and Tessa ate Bus jumped onto the counter and ate half a tray of raw pork chops and everyone thought that look on him face was sooooo cute!! About 5 weeks after we got him we went on vacation to the beach, he had sooo much fun!! were we went there was at least 50 wild horse's on the beach and he would watch them, and he loved walking in the water. but something was not quite right, he was feeling sick.. When we got home after 4 days away he was feeling much better. Then after all the fun he had getting out of the yard at least 3 times and treeing the cat next door 4 or 5 times within a month and a half if was time to get him neutered, to get his shots and to heart worm test him... We took him to the spay/neuter clinic and after waiting almost an hour they took him, we hugged him and kissed him and told him we would see him later, then he trotted down the hall wagging his tail.. Little did we know that would be the last time we would see him. About 2 hours later Mom, my brother, and my sister were napping and I was in the bath room.. The phone rang, but I did not get to it in time, then the cell phone rang and I brought it to mom.. It was the vet, she said they did not think they could save him, he had testicular tumors, and only 1 testicle had dropped, and that his kidney and liver looked bad, and he was bleeding really bad.. She said "do you want me to try and save him or put him down"? and mom said to do anything she could to try and save him... She called back and she couldn't, mom asked what she should tell my brother(who is 8) and she said it would probably help to get another dog.. Crying I had to wake my sister up and mom had to wake my brother up, when mom woke him up he said "mom whats wrong"? she told him what happened and he broke down in tears, so did my sister... We had to go and sign the release papers and they wanted us to look at there available dogs, so we took Tessa, she walked through the door and sniffed were he was sitting when we were waiting with him.. She got puppy wrinkles and started whining, we walked over to the counter and the woman handed us his collar and leash Tessa sniffed them and wagged her tail, she thought he was coming back. It was so hard knowing that he was laying dead and cold some were in that building.... We looked at the dogs there and they didn't have any that we could get, so we went to the place that we got Buster and they had a smaller coonhound X.. She was in the cage next to the one Buster was in, she was already spayed by the same doctor that tried to fix Buster, and she acts like Buster in so many ways.. Buster has been gone for a month as of today, and we have had Sally for a month.... Buster was the best dog anyone could ask for, we all miss him and Tessa has been depressed due to his passing.. But we will always remember that we saved him, and that his is not, was not, and will not be in pain
