Arrival Story:
I found this beautiful little dog at a flea market in Waldo, Florida! He was four months old. I swore that I would never buy an animal, but after 9 rescue pets, I had love at first sight with Archie, and had been looking to rescue a poodle already, so he wasn't a complete impulse buy. He's a large miniature and actually has all the features of a Standard Poodle.

Bio:
There are so many amazing things about Archie, but I think my favorite is the way he is so actively affectionate. He doesn't just let you cuddle him, or jump up and lick your face. He leans into you, clings with his legs and paws, and nuzzles your neck, or rubs or rests his cheek on yours. He has always been very laid back. He has never known the pain of abandonment, neglect or abuse, so he is wonderfully, supremely confident and emotionally healthy. He is an intellegent, acrobatic comedian who keeps us in stitches. He is a diplomat and fixes disputes between the other animals. When new dogs come into the house he teaches them to use the doggie door and will patiently dangle a sock in front of them until he can show them how to play tug-of-war. Archie is the hero of my heart. He is fearless and brave and loyal. I have never known an animal who makes me feel so good.
