Arrival Story:
In Germany where I lived before I came here there Parvo is greatly unknown, it is not such an epidemic as it is here in the U.S Luna’s Puppies all 9 of them became ill with Parvo , because I had learned how to run IV fluids with my Daughter I was able to save 7 of Luna’s 9 puppies sadly little Pooh was not one of them . He was originally the one Puppy I had wanted to keep , we bonded from his first breath and would follow me everywhere he died fighting for his life on Thursday the 27 of may at 2:30 . he did not want to die and the sound of his struggling breath is something that will haunt me for the rest of my life .. Parvo is vicious, it can lay dormant in the ground for 27years, this is why it is important to bleach a patch of lawn when you have a new puppy and not let /him/her play with any other dogs outside of your family until they have all their shots. I need to stress here how important it is to vaccinate -The complete booster cycle include 4 shoots that are given in three week intervals. Anyone who skips this is putting their puppy in grave danger! -Normal disinfectants do not work - Bleach can kill it but one needs to be through. Parvo is so aggressive that between the 1-4 booster shots some puppies die from it, untreated 80% die-treated about 30% do not make it . The trick is to catch it early and hydrated as much as possible.

Pooh was the second biggest male of lunas babies and the last short haird boy ,much like Raven he was very sweet and gentil,he was very close to me and would catch my moods imediately, pooh was a dog that needed a lot of attention ,he loved being touched and loved ,he was a people dog ,he would have grown up to be very big and beutiful dog ,and he had perfect paws ,he leaves this great hole in my heart and soul ,I wanted to get old with him ,i had promised him to go to the ocean and now he will never see it ,the last few days where so chaotic My poor pooh I wanted so much to watch him grow and spend my life with him and so did he. He would follow me everywhere , and I would sneak him into my bed sometimes behind the back of my Ex. Pooh was the second biggest male of Luna’s babies and the only brown short haired boy, Like his brother Raven who was the second Parvo victim, he was good natured and of more of a calmer temperament then his sisters . He was very sweet and gentle; I still can remember how it felt when he curled up against my stomach...He loved being touched and loved ,he was a people dog ,he would have grown up to be very big and beautiful dog ; He had the most beautiful paws i had ever seen i always said he had perfect paws. I had promised him to go to the ocean I had promised him extra attention once everyone was well again. The days where so chaotic because my Ex at the time had retreated left alone to fend for all 9 puppies so I did not have extra loving to spare for my little pooh ...I thought we would have all the time in the world... he was this wonderful gift in my life-gone ,my pooh who barked like a whale ..my pooh...I miss you ,mommy loves you always ...
