Gus loved to nap. That was his favorite thing. He really loved to snuggle with everyone, especially his Mom. He liked to play and fetch, but only when he felt up to it.
He didn't like to have to get up for someone. BOL, especially when he was sleeping on the couch. He didn't like it when it was rainy or cold out, he just liked to be loved.
He really liked this rope toy that his Dad bought he and Mags a long time ago. He and Maggie would pull it back and forth. He also loved rawhide bones. Those were his absolute favorite. We left two bones with him when he passed :(
He loved all food! He especially loved dog biscuits =)
Unfortunately, Gussy had arthritis in his hip, so he couldn't walk too far. Before that, though, he used to love to take walks!
He could speak :) LOUD. BOL. He could also sit and shake :) He knew how to fetch, but he would have someone throw it, then run after it, and come back without it. BOL. It kept everyone on their toes.
Gus had the best little life. He was pampered and loved so much.
He was born in Kentucky, but was adopted by Ohio Parents. They were driving by his first home one day and saw a sign that said "dalmatian puppies for sale." His Mom said, No, we don't really need another dog (at that time, they had 1 dalmatian already) and His Dad said, well, let's just look. So, Gus came to the fence and it was love at first sight. His Dad and Mom just fell in love with him, so they decided to bring him home.
He lived with us for about 10 years. He was so playful and loving. He loved everyone and everything. He was a sweet dog who loved to cuddle, he really thought he was a much smaller dog.
Unfortunately, he started to get really sick in November of 2007 and he got a little better, but eventually he couldn't eat or drink anything. His parents took him to the vet on 12/21, only to learn that he had developed stomach cancer. It was then that his parents made the hardest decision of their lives and decided to let him go to heaven. He is so very missed.

Hey friends ..
I am sick. Earlier this week I had a lot of trouble going #1. thankfully my Mommy and my sister took me to the vet.. well.. they had to do a whole bunch of tests and found out I have kidney stones.. (I guess dalmatians are prone to getting them).. Well, they said I *HAD* to have surgery. So.. they brought me back to the vet the next day, I'll have to admit, I was very nervous. But everyone was very nice. After the first surgery, I still was having trouble, so I had to have another surgery! :( no fun.. but it's making me better. I couldn't come home immediately, b/c I was having some bleeding (ew) problems. Mom and Sis came to visit me yesterday at the vet and I really liked seeing them. They definitely cheered me up. But, I still had to stay again. Then today, the vet came and told me my Dad was coming to get me and that I was better and get to go home!!!!! yay!! I have to go out on a leash and I have to stay in my cage for a while, but at least I'll be home. I'm glad to finally start feeling better. The vet showed me and my Mommy all of my kidney stones they took out of my bladder.. there were like 20! yikes. :( but at least they're out.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers!
Love, Gus :)
