On Thursday, December 1, 2011 I was anxiously waiting for the mail to come as we have entered three Christmas Cards Exchange list Yorkieville United for my sister Abigale June, Cairn Talk and Schnauzer Rule for me. Three cards came in the mail for us and none for mommy and daddy we now have 5 cards to 0. But what was the surprise one of those cards came in a box so mommy opened the box up and put it down for us to smell. I went absolutely crazy because there was a stuffed acorn with a smiley face and on the card our friend Winston and his family told me to stay away from the real acorns and they were sending me this surprise a safe acorn I could play with.
They remember the story of me and my acorn. I have a bad habit of swallowing acorns and a few years back I had to have surgery to remove an acorn from my lower intestine which my dad painted and put it in a small jar and wrote on the jar Sabrina's Golden Acorn as it was an expensive surgery.
You would think I would learn my lesson but now mommy has to put a muzzle on me whenever I go outside as I still swallow the acorns and they had to give me mineral oil for me to poop out the acorn so mommy was worried one day the mineral oil would not work so they got the basket muzzle and though I fight with her to put it on every time I go outside she holds my head to look at her and tells me she is doing it because she loves me and wants to keep me around since I still go after acorns.
Thank you so very much Winston and Family you made my day very special and Abigale June got her little frog. Mommy lets us sniff at all the cards before she puts them up and we saw your pictures on the card. We love you guys.

Hey everyone daddy does go out in the yard everyday picking up the acorns he can see but the problem is Abigale June and I dig up what the squirrels bury. Also, there are no trees in our yard when we moved here in 2002 mommy had daddy cut down all the trees in our yard. The squirrels get them out of the neighbors trees and bring them to our yard to bury and I simply feel if they are stupid enough to bury them in my yard I will dig them up and have them for myself.
Now I have to deal with wearing a muzzle everytime I go outside mommy said she does not trust me.

Well here it is October and fall is here no trees in our yard and squirrels busy burying acorns while I am busy digging up the acorns and swallowing whole. Mommy thought I would have learned my lesson but no. Daddy said no more surgery if mineral oil doesn't do the trick. I was given mineral oil to help me poop and had to sleep on the back porch last night so if I went to the bathroom they could tell if the acorn came out. Today I finally pooped an acorn the size of daddy's fingernail. Mommy said from now on the muzzle goes on my face she would rather inconvenience me than have a dead dog. I don't look forward to the muzzle but at least daddy won't put it on me said he does not have the time to fool with the muzzle. Woe is me having to wear a muzzle. Daddy also warned mommy that to watch out for us in the morning at there are small kittens coming in our yard mommy said with the muzzle on I won't be able to hurt the kittens.

I am so proud of my mommy she has been going to school a long time trying to get her two year degree in Business Administration. She wanted to go when she graduated from high school but her parents insisted working and not going to college. But mommy started to take one course at a time when living in Kentucky and working full time and taking care of daddy and us. Well she finally made it. Last night mommy graduated with honors at the College of Central Florida and what a beautiful day it was.
Mommy had friends there supporting her and all the nice people at dogster supported her as my mommy is not a young woman. She firmly believes age is not a blockage in getting an education. This Sunday is Mother's Day and I am so happy she accomplished her goals before Mother's Day.
Also, her best friend since 8th grade flew in from Omaha, Nebraska to attend mommy's graduation.
CONGRATLATIONS MOMMY WE ARE PROUD OF YOU AND WE LOVE YOU

Yesterday I watched daddy cut our backyard and then he went to the frontyard cutting grass. Daddy is a hard worker though he is retired and stays home with us all day. He is 69 years old. Well, after he cut the grass he went to the mailbox while he was in the front yard to bring in the mail and came through the front door normally he always comes through the back door when he has finished putting up the lawn mowers. So he came in the front door and I let him know I needed to go outside and without thinking that he forgot to close the gate he let me out the backdoor. I immediately ran to where the gate was open and took off on an adventure. In the meantime daddy remembered he left the gate open and went into the backyard to see if I was still there and he noticed me coming from the down the road on the right side of our house. He called for me to get in the yard, I was having an adventure and just ignored him calling me and continued on down the road to the left of the house and daddy in hot pursuit, now he is an older man so he is not running just walking behind me. I stopped near the end of the road to smell some stuff someone had in their backyard and that is where daddy caught up with me. He picked me up and gave me a spanking told me I better learn to listen when he calls me. He said I should have stayed in the yard now what dog in is right mind seeing a gate wide open will stay in his yard.
Anyway when mommy came home from work he told her we almost lost Sabrina and mommy asked why he explained everything even him forgetting to close the gate. Told mommy if I had not stopped to smell the people's backyard there is no way he could have caught up with me and if I made it to the main road I would more likely be hit by a car and been killed or we would never see me again though I had my chip in me.
That my folks was the end of my great adventure.

Here we go again acorns dropping in my yard and I just can't resist them. If you read my diaries a few years back I almost died from having an acorn stuck in my lower intestine it cost bundles to have it removed.
Mommy is always hollering at me to leave the acorns alone but I just can't resist one big gulp and it is in my stomach. Daddy cleans the yard throwing away acorns as he sees them but my nose will find one somewhere. So when daddy noticed I had pooped some acorns he gave me some mineral oil to make sure it slid right back out of me.
Once in a while I vomit and when I do out comes the mineral oil as they think I got a hold of another acorn and they want to make sure it doesn't stay in my intestine as daddy refuses to pay that kind of money any more.
Why oh why can't I be a good girl and stay away from those nasty acorns.

I have been on dogster since 2006 though I have never met most of our friends in person my heart aches when they request prayers for their beloved pets who are ill and those that have crossed over to the bridge including my own sister Tiffany. My sister Tiffany was almost 16 years old but we pray real hard for the younger ones that get ill as they have a full life ahead of them yet.
We are praying especially hard for a young pup who is only 2 years old his name is Sunny and so sweet and his mommy Meredith is all upset that she may lose her precious one. I fully believe in the miracle of prayers and though we all have different groups when we post about the health of another pup from another group we all have the common bond and we put out the power of prayer in hopes of a miracle. There are times that the miracle does happen then there are times we feel our prayers are unanswered. However, our prayers are not unanswered there is a reason why the precious one had to go to the bridge and we just have to keep the faith. Though at the time our hearts are in agony eventually some of us will open our hearts to a new pup not to replace the beloved one we lost but to give love to another pup who needs some love in his or her life.
Dogster brings us all together united as friends praying and helping each other.

Oh me, oh my, tis the season for acorns and I just can't help myself.
I watch the squirrels come into our yard with their acorns and since I am unable to catch them I figure I will dig up their acorns swallow them whole and then they won't have any acorns to eat.
We have no trees in our yard but some acorns fall from the neighbors tree and a couple years ago I had an acorn stuck in my smaller intestine was at the vet's for a week then he suggest mommy take me to the vet hospital in Gainesville which she did. They ran the same test as my vet and at first could not understand why I was sick till an intern happened to see me try to use the bathroom. Then they cleaned me out and took new x-rays and said it was either a small bowl or an acorn and they would have to do surgery mom told them to go ahead with the surgery and they gave mommy and daddy the acorn they took out of my smaller intestine. Daddy painted that acorn gold and has it in a container on the bookshelf called "Sabrina Golden Acorn" as it cost them over $4,000 for my vet and hospital bills. A price my daddy said he would not pay again.
Well the other night I was vomiting and mommy found 3 big acorns that I vomited so she told me that is it. Little girl you never learned your lessons about the acorns so now you will wear a muzzle till acorn season is over as I would rather have you alive than you die from swallowing another stupid acorn.
It is humiliating to wear a muzzle on your face with the bars so I can't scoop up the acorns. I try to run outside without it but mommy is firm whenever she puts it on me she tells me " I am putting this on you because I love you and want you around a long time, I know you don't like it."

Today I received the most wonderful game of tag I've ever seen . It came from my special furiend MacKenzie. Now I'm going to pass it on to my special furiends and let them know how much I care about them. Thank you MacKenzie, my good furiend!
All you need to do is pass it on to those you consider to be furiends. It might have ended up being a bit difficult for those of you with multiple pups so we picked one in the family and ask that you share the message and the sentiment with all your fublings.
