 Birthday: November 15th 2001
Arrival Story: She was dumped at a Texas pound with her puppies. They didn't ever give her & the babes a flattened box to lie in.
We (on a GSD rescue board) decided no dog should die without the honor of being named. I named her Faith because she probably had faith in the horrible human that left her there.
She tried to keep her babies fed & warm.
A true, loving Mama to the end.
I can never forget you, dear Faith & puppies. I often weep for hours looking at your photo. How scared & betrayed you must have felt. Why was I sent here? Wasn't I a good girl?
I can't help I had puppies. I was only doing what nature told me to do.
I can only wish that you have found peace at the Rainbow Bridge. You now frolic with Angels. You & your pups are among friends. You are all safe, warm & feel love.

Bio: **Let me preface by stating I (we) don't blame Texas as a whole or Houston ever... it just happened to be those particular workers those day(s) that Faith & her pups were there and that was in 2002. I've always had great rescue folks offer to help in TX !! **
We desperately worked thru the night into early morning looking for anyone to pull & foster this Mama & babies for a few days. Rescues were overflowing - help was streched thin this particular week. We were desparate... money was offered but rescue people were swamped.
We begged the humans (at the pound) to at least get her & the babies off the bare, cold cement. They told us she had 48 more hours until death. We worked furiously for 24 hrs looking for help.
THEN the Pound employees told us that we were to charged a pull fee for each pup (they were under 6 wks) !! What? that was going to be over $200 for all. Scrambling for donations, a 2-day foster home, transport.... we were again assured that she & the pups had 2 more days.
Most of us got little sleep that night. Her sad face haunted us.
How could someone be so cruel? Why weren't the pound people trying to help us HELP her?
I woke up to find out that "they" went ahead & killed her and her babies early that morning. "Why, why, why?" I asked. They KNEW we were trying to save her & the babies. Phone numbers were left with instruction to call collect..............
I cried for 3 days and still cry to this day. Faith & her pups represent millions of dumped, unwanted furbabies in the U.S.
**please pass their story along so they didn't die in vain**

to the secret Angel that made that beautiful picture of Faith & her pups with their Angels' wings. It's so beautiful. Faith & her babies so deserve in be in the company of Angels enveloped in their safe arms. This is where I envision they are now. Faith & her babies are now a part of all the kinds souls that shed a tear or whose hearts sank a little when we all read her story.
My tears are falling at the beautiful photo a sweet person made for her.
Thank you to all those who left stars & rosettes for these babies. It means so much to me.
