Arrival Story: Two years ago I needed to move. My landlord didn't allow any pets and so I simultaneously began the search for my dog and a place for us to live. The apartment hunt turned into buying my first house. I had been looking on Petfinder.com for months and the week I moved into the new place I saw him. His picture stole my heart and then the description seemed to match what I was looking for, "sweet, mellow", "easy-going", "three-legged..." What?! I thought do I really want a dog with 3 legs? Maybe I should just get a whole dog. There was certainly enough normal dogs at the shelter to choose from. But despite my initial misgivings I always knew this was my dog no matter how many legs he had. I took him home the day after I saw his profile on petfinder and it undoubtedly was one of my all-time best decisions. Jackson is the best. The whole missing a leg thing turned out to be a non-issue; he runs circles around those poor dogs in the park weighted down by that pesky 4th leg. And clipping his nails is 25% less of a hassle! Really though, he is the most devoted pet I have ever had and I just wub this doggie!

Bio: Jackson likes to dance while I sing. We have the pre-meal "YumYum in the tumtum" song , and let's not forget about the pre-walk song to the tune of Fat Albert's "Gonna have a good, good, good, good, good time!" - "Going for a walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk!". His favorite dance moves are "dancing feet" where he marches in place and of course "the spin" where he uses his back leg as a pivot.
