Nicknames:
Willy Buttercup, Big little One, Honey Bear, Little Bear, Puppy, Cutie, Piggy Pig Pig, Charlottes Web Puppy dog, Cinnamon, Hyperactive Honey, Pupsies Bear, Willy Bigfoot, Little Bigfoot. Wilbur's his real name, but we don't use it as much as Willy Bigfoot

Quick Bio:

Likes:
Biting people, or chewing whatever he gets his little cute paws on. He is crazy over rawhides but he will chew little pieces off and try to swallow them. This can be really dangerous, so we have to keep a close eye on him. He also loves treats.

Pet-Peeves:
I think Wilbur's greatest pet peeve is being told "NO". Most of the time he doesn't listen, unless its really harsh and he knows he did something naughty. He's not deaf, he just doesn't listen!

Favorite Toy:
My dogs favorite toy is whatever catches his eye pretty much. His Pop thinks he has ADHD because he will be playing with one toy, then stop and get another toy he sees. He'll keep going from toy to toy, which is pretty hilarious to watch sometimes!

Favorite Food:
Wilbur's favorite food is pretty much anything he can. We don't eat chocolate in our household, so he is safe from that. We give him vegetables. They are really healthy for them and their teeth. I think, overall, his favorite food though, is fingers!

Favorite Walk:
We don't take Wilbur on any walks because we are afraid he will get hurt. We live on the outskirts of Boston, which is still crouded, but not crowded enough to not have a backyard. So Wilbur's favorite walk is probably his backyard.

Best Tricks:
I think Wilbur's best trick is jumping. He rarely does it on command, but if you're outside and get his stick (very rarely can you catch him to get it tho) and you hold it up, he'll jump for it. Now all we have to do is teach him to do it on command.

Arrival Story:
I was sitting at the table reading Charlottes Web for my book club, while also listening to the news. A chocolate poodle came on saying something that it did, although I forget what. So I fell in love with it. I called my friend, who breeds lab retrievers, and asked her if she knew any people that bred brown poodles in the breeding buisness. She said she didn't think so, but if she remembered that she did, then she would give my me a call. So I went searching for one. I looked at one in the local pet store, because I have a few friends that work there. They had a white poodle, that I fell in LOVE with. Unfortunetly, I t had heart problems, so I found out. I didn't want to spend a thousand dollars on a dog that may not live long, so I gave up. I was sitting at home on the couch reading Charlottes Web again, where I got a call from my friend saying she had a friend in the breeding buisness that was her roomate in colllege that had fairly recently started breeding chocolate poodles. So my friend gave me the lady's number so I could get more information. The next day, I decided to give the lady a try. I asked if her dog's had any history in genetic medical problems. She said, " no, but just to make sure I can send you the parents papers on their history". I said I would love that. About a week later, I got mail from the lady. It had the papers and pictures of all the puppies. I didnt look at the pictures until after I looked at the papers, because I didn't want to fall in love with a puppy that had problems, like the one in the pet store. I didn't know how to read the papers, so I brought it to my friends house, so she could look them over and make sure nothing bad was in the dog's history. She said everything looked fine. So I went home, and looked at the pictures. There were three males, two black and one brown, and a black female. On the back of the females, it said SOLD and on the back of the chocolate (which by the way is the one I totally fell for) it said NOT FOR SALE. I almost had tears come to my eyes. I called that lady, and she said it was because it was the first chocolate she ever had and wanted to keep it. I told her, "I'm sorry, I am not interested. Thanks for your time" and hung up. I had a few tear drops fall down my eyes. But she lived all the way across the country anyways, in California, and it would be cruel to ship a puppy. Of course, I was only thinking these things and making it worse than it had to be because I was mad. About a month later, I came home to find my door wide open. I thought someone had stolen all my stuff, but it was my friend with the extra house key I gave to her. She was sitting on my couch with a chocolate poodle that had the same facial features as the one in the picture. I screamed. Not like a scared scream but like a happy, "Oh my goodness I can't beleive you got me a puppy scream" My friend told me that the lady felt bad for me, so she decided she would wait for the next chocolate because she wanted to make me happy. I sent her a thank you card and I didn't know how to thank my friend in the least. I decided to name the dog Wilbur, after the pig in Charlottes Web, since that was the book I was reading when I first made my move to get my buttercup.

Bio:
Wilbur is a chocolate mini poodle. He came from all the way across the country, California to be exact, but we love him. We wanted to get a dog a little closer so they wouldn't ship him, but he was too cute! He got his name from the pig in the book Charlottes Web, because I was reading that book when I first realized I wanted him so badly! He bites a lot, especially Talto, and he chews through many toys, but when he is tired, which, let me tell you, is not very often, he is a total snuggle bug. He is one of the best little pups you could ever meet. He is my second poodle. This is good because his Pop is allergic to long- furred dogs, and poodles don't have fur like pomeranians or papillions do. They have a hair- like fur, which isn't mostly allergenic. Now we won't have sneezing. Wilbur's Pop play's with him a lot, and he really surprised me. He didn't want a dog, and now the three (Talto, Wilbur, and Pop) can barely be separated. It makes me happy to see them play together, and even more happy that when Wilbur gets tired of playing fetch, he comes straight to me. He is a wonderful pup, and we are so lucky to have him! While he was growing up, (and still is a little bit) his feet grew faster than the rest of his body. His father called him big foot because everything was proportionate except his feet. His mother always called him Willy, so together, his father and mother combined, nicknamed him Willy Bigfoot [sometimes also called Little Bigfoot].

Wilbur, you make my heart sing. Whenever I am down, you bring me up and cheer me up! Your such a curious, small dog and your such a sweetheart. I love it when people walk by and say "I want a cute small puppy just like that Mommy!" or "Daddy, isn't that dog just the cutest? Can we get him?" I know it is kind of mean, but I think 'Ha! I got there first! You can not have the light and love of my life!' I love it, just knowing your mine and nobody else's! Your more wonderful than I thought I was going to be buying. People always tell me to bring my head out of the clouds, and that you can't buy love, happiness, loyalty, friendship,or anything like that, but when I went to get you and paid that 300 dollars. I did buy all those things, along with a happy puppy. You bite, you growl, you annoy, and your a big dummy. But-- as long as your my big dummy, that's all that counts. I love it when you sing to the sound of the Flute I play, and when you snuggle up to me when your scared. You a sweet heart. Sometimes I want to dress you up like a doll, but that truth is, your not a doll. You are a wonderful pup, that will put up with anything and everything I do. I am so happy you are mine. i couldn't live with out you, I hope you know that! You love me, and I love you back. That is all I need from you and all you need from me. I love you, Willy! I do. Unconditional Love. It's so cute when I talk to you and you just cock your head. Like when I am furious at you, for example, ripping up the last stuffed animal my grandmother ever made before she passed, and I just screamed my head off at you. I was furious. Then I stopped because I had nothing else to say and you cocked your head slightly and came running over to me and gave me kisses. I love that about you, Willy! I love it when you do that. No matter how mad I get, you will always love me. We have a strong bond, Willy, and that's what I love. You.

Dear Diary,

I'm still feeling a little ill. But on the upside I am doing better than before! I am still lazy and I go to the bathroom inside the house still a bit, I can't control it and I am still on the diet. I am not lethargic anymore or anything and I am a little more perky than before! Of course, I have to be since it is my sister's birthday!! Well, we aren't sure if it's her real birthday, but the lady we adopted her from said it was around today.
Momsie bought her a cake with treats surrounding the edges-- and don't worry-- It was vanilla cake! Not chocolate! Elina told me it was the best birthday ever. I kind of got jealous though. Seeing as though I never have had a birthday, I don't get why SHE got toys and treats and I didn't! Anyways, Momsie says she has to share with me or neither of us won't be able to have them! Oh well, I got cake! The cake was very yummy, and Momsie gave us each two slices. But it was one of those mini cakes, so the slices weren't that big. We also each got a spoonful of ice cream! It may not sound like a lot to you, but for small dogs like us, thats a lot! I'm so very excited!

Wanna know what Elina got? Here's the list:

A sqeaky meat toy (Pop agreed to get ONE more sqeaky toy!)
Rawhides
A New Outfit (Pictures on her page)
more treats
A Froggy Stuffed animal
A rubber stick (it actually looks like a stick!)
A placemat
Food and Water dishes
And last but not least,
A new collar!

Momsie says she is a spoiled doggy! I want to be a spoiled doggy! Oh wait, I was just reassured that i am a spoiled and LOVED pup! I am so glad I have such a great family.
I am cuddled up right now on our porch, while Momsie is at the computer watching TV. I am lieing in the sun. Its really warm out here, compared to yesterday, when there was a thunderstorm!! Oh and about the thunderstorm... It was my first thunderstorm EVER! I started barking once because there was a thunderblast that shook the WHOLE HOUSE!! I got scared and Momsie laughed. She took me in her arms and cuddled me. Elina was really scared! Momsie and I got really worried. She got crouched underneath a table and shook. I felt really bad. Then Momsie got her and we both snuggled on each side of Momsie. I am sure momsie felt loved! But it was scary! There were big flashes of light outside! I didn't know whether it was day or night! But I did feel comfortable snuggled up with Momsie!
Well today, Momsie found a new summer job! She is going to be playing in a local orchestra for a play that's going on. She plays the flute and she was practicing and I came over and started "singing"! Momsie kept playing and I kept singing. Finally, Momsie had to stop because she was laughing so hard. Now she thinks we can mae millions an dmake our own record deal! I agree, but I would spend all the money on getting toys and junk for me and Elina and all the helpless puppies in the world! I would also donate it to assosiations that save puppies like Elina! Well, I think I hear a yogurt cup getting opened, so I'll bark at you all later!

WOOOOOOOF!!

Wilbur

Dear Diary,

Momsie stayed home ALL day today! She must love me. She said her "work is over until August, and that she is staying with me and Elina until then! I am so happy. I also am happy momsie stayed home with me today, because I wasn't feeling good. See, I am going to the bathroom in the house, and when I went poop, momsie was cleaning it up and it had blood stains on it. Then Momsie got me clean water adn I drank it. Then I spit it back up with little chunks of food in it. I won't play and I won't get up when momsie says "treat" which i alwasys do. Whenever momsie touches my tummy I growl and bite her. Not like a puppy bite, but like why are you hurting me bite. Momsie says we can't afford to go to the vets until momsie's pay check arrives, and my momsie's pay check is coming on Friday. If it gets really bad, we can definetly manage to pay, but we can't just waste our money. So I am not feeling too good. This started at about 4:00 Eastern Time. The rest of the day I played happily with Elina and Momsie, Pop had to work the whole day. He says his work isn't as nice as Momsie's work, and he has to work all summer. He says they do allow him to take 4 weeks off every year, which means 28 days. I think Pop should transfer to Momsie's work, because then he could play with us ALL summer!! I would like that. Pop is better at throwing and playing "fetch" than Momsie is. That's cause Momsie is more afraid of breaking things than Pop is. Sometimes Momsie gets mad because he will throw it too hard or something.
Wanna know something funny me and Elina did today? Well, Momsie threw a stick outside and I went and chased it and got it before Elina did. Then I gave it to her and she went running to Momsie with it. Then Momsie took it and threw it. I was still out where she had thrown it before. Momsie threw the stick to a spot somewhere around where I was sitting waiting for it to be thrown. I went to get it (it was about three yards away) . I put it in my mouth and Elina came running over to me and grabbed the stick from my mouth and I let her. Then she brought it back to momsie. Momsie said it kind of looked like "fetch assembly line'. She said it was cool and we were really smart dogs. She said she could have sworn we smiled at her. SHE WAS RIGHT!! Of course we smiled! I love my Momsie.
Right now me and Momsie are snuggling. She is trying to make me feel better. She says I am a lot more snuggly than usual, but it makes her feel loved when I snuggle with her. She says at 6:30 (in 15 minutes) she is going to feed me cottage cheese. I have never tried it before. Momsie says she thinks it tastes gross, but I'm a dog. We think NOTHING tastes gross! Well, I will bark at you later! Momsie says a thunderstorm is headed our way. She doesn't like me on the computer when a thunder/lightning storm is here, so I will bark at you tomorrow!

RUFF!!!!! RUFF!!!!

Wilbur
