Arrival Story:
Sisco (formerly Junior) was left to die by the side of the road in New Orleans sometime around this past New Year. Someone had beaten him severely and he was in terrible shape. He also had severe Demodex mange, which left his skin cracked and bleeding. He had very little hair. He was only about 4 months old. Fortunately, he was rescued by a good Samaritan and taken to the Humane Society of Louisiana, who nursed him back to health. He is finishing up treatment for the demodex, which is NOT contagious, and is otherwise healthy. His coat has grown back and he is a lovely boy, mostly white with brindle patches on his eyes and ears, and big brown eyes. He is full-grown, weighs about 45 pounds. He is housetrained, crate trained, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. Not surprisingly, Junior is a little unsure of new situations. In a stable and loving environment, he will quickly blossom into a confident and wonderful companion. He is very affectionate and would love a home and person or family of his own. He loves other dogs and is energetic and playful. He also loves his food and generally eats his meals in about two bites.

THANKS TO DOGSTER, JUNIOR HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! Sisco absolutely loves his new playmate Gypsy, he can't be anywhere without her.
