Favorite Food:
Greenies. wet food. anything that smells like warm meat.

Favorite Walk:
Somewhere with ground rodents... or big trees, any kind of hiking trail.

Best Tricks:
I taught him to crawl on command, it's soooo cute! He's also learned to scratch people's backs on command, but he gets bored with that really quickly.

Arrival Story:
I had just lost my job at a doggy daycare center and was feeling rather down. So I went to the humane society to visit dogs. I picked three dogs to visit with, just for the sake of visiting. Daniel (at that time "Max" although he did not respond to the name at all,) sat in my lap and licked my face for the entire five minutes I had with him. He was a total gentledog, walked well on the leash, and *the major seller* when he was being put back into his kennel, despite the fact that dogs were whinning and barking all over, he walked in very calmly and sat down, just as if he was in the most comfortable dog hotel. I've never seen a dog act quite so confident, sincere, so brave and yet affectionate. Daniel in the Lion's den. He stole my heart immediately. There was nothing to be done but to adopt him. True to his character, he has remained an angel and a blessed joy in my life. This dog has some higher destiny about him. He will be forever imprinted in my heart.

Bio:
Daniel is currently living in Southern California with extended/new family. He has a new canine house mate, Teddy, a small tenatious poodle.
