Its been a while.....

It has been a long time since I have written in my diary. Summer is so busy and so so so fun. Mom and Dad play in all kinds of softball tournaments so Duece and I get to tag along to Grandma and Grandpaw's house. We got two new doggie pools this summer. Nothing like laying in a pool on a hot day.

A first for me was a trip to the emergency vet. I got stung or bit by something outside and my face swelled up so much I didnt have eyes anymore and I could barely breathe!!! I was scared. The vets gave me shots and pretty soon I was ok. I wish I knew what I was allergic to though.

I also took my first trip "up north" and it was AMAZING! I got to walk the boardwalk in Duluth and stick my paws in Lake Superior. It was a little chilly I think. But the waves were fantastic! I chased them all over the beach. I caught most of them. I am sad to see summer end, but I love snow so I am excited for that.

Duece's Birthday

My brother turned 1 last Sunday. We had cake and presents. It was fun. We got to run and play at the dog park and then come home to a lot of treats and cake. Duece kinda made a mess with his. I was a good and kept mine on my plate. My birthday is in two weeks, so we get another party soon!! I am excited!

It's been a while....

Well life is still good. It has been a while since I have written anything. Since my last entry we had Christmas and a 2 week vacation in Minnesota. Christmas was wonderful. We got a bunch of treats in our stocking and a HUGE bone. It was a real bone with meat on it... it was so tasty. Mom said she has never seen Duece and I sit so still for so long. Then Mom and Dad went and their honeymoon... I don't think I like honey too much, but Mom and Dad did I guess. Duece and I stayed with Grandma and Grandpaw. It was great. We were so spoiled. Sleeping in, lounging on the couch, toast and jelly every morning, hamburger every night.... that was such a great vacation. Plus, we got to run in our Great-Grandma's backyard all day. I am exhausted now though so I am going to sleep some more. Bye for now!

It's Christmas... and time for a haircut

This is by FAR the best time of year because there are presents and cookies and turkey and spaghetti and SNOW.... YUM! However, there is always the Christmas haircut which I HATE. Most of the time I spend outside or at the dog park I collect as much mud as possible. It is a little harder in winter cuz the ground is frozen, but if you roll in the snow in the same spot for awhile it melts... you'll find some then. Anyway, a couple days ago, my brother and I went in. I smell like baby powder and I am all poofy now. Mom and Dad give us baths after every trip to the dog park, but they are not as good as the grooming lady. Man, she gets rid of every speck of mud and every good scent I rolled in.. she even cuts our toenails. Oh well, at least I still get to eat the cookies and spaghetti and turkey and ham and pie and snow and..... there is always that next trip to the park :O)

Goodbye's are not forever....

Today mom got the news from Grandma that Punkin, her "sister", passed away from cancer. Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Grandpaw are really sad because Punkin has been part of the family for 19 years... longer than Dad even! Mom and Punkin grew up together, since Punkin was old she stayed and lived with Grandma and Grandpaw after mom graduated and moved to IA for a job... She stayed at the house she grew up in. Mom is sad she could not be there with Punkin. It is a sad time and I hope Punkin is in a happy place with my Great-Grandpaw, and can play and run and eat yummy treats all the time now.

Camp Camp Camperoo...

This past weekend Mom and Dad took my brother, Duece, and I 4-wheeling. It is like my favorite thing to do besides swim. I sit in the back and SNIFF!!! I get to see all kinds of animals and eat bugs and they fly by. We go all over the trails in southern MN. Then we go to our families camp site in the valley. There is a creek there and I get to swim in it and fetch sticks. I am good. I love when the stick floats away and I get to ride the stream to get it. The hard part is coming back, but I love a challenge. Then when I was tired I went and laid down in the back of the 4-wheeler and took a nap in the sun. Ahhh it is a dog's life...

Let's Go Swimming!

Well I did it. I learned to swim... again. When I was little mom took me swimming on the Mississippi River... and I LOVED IT!!! But then it was winter and since I was so young the first time, I forgot how to do it. Mom and Dad knew I really liked water because I sleep in the bathtub and pretty much LIVE in the kiddie pool grandma and grandpa bought. So a few weeks ago I went camping and jumped into a creek after a stick on instinct, and VOILA! I remembered how to swim... now a couple times a week Mom and Dad take my brother and I to the lake and we get to swim. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I taught my little brother how to swim too. He grabs my tail and I pull him in. Then he swims right by my side. Sometimes he grabs onto the stick I just fetched and we swim in together. I love swimming. I can't wait for next summer.

Duece.... yikes.

Well a couple days ago mom and dad took me to a house that had LOTS of other dogs for me to play with. It was great. There was little guy that kept pulling my tail, but it was ok, I had a great time. Then yesterday we went back to that house and I got to play with all those dogs again except this time the little guy rode home with us. I didn't know what to think. He took over my backseat and I couldn't even sleep on the way home. But today I woke up and went to his room and he was happy to see me. We played this morning before mom and dad went to work, and then played at noon when mom came home for our pottybreak. I think I like having a little brother to knock around and chase all over the house.
