I am learing disc!

Mom has started to teach me to play flying disc. I really, really, really like this game. So far I have learned to catch the disc in the air. I am getting better at it but mom really needs to work on perfecting her throws! Mom says we are going to go to a disc dog workshop in a few weeks so that we can learn some more. In the meantime, I have been warming up with the flyball team and mom says I am almost ready to compete!

Flyball is awesome!

Mom took me to my very first flyball lesson last week. There were lots of dogs and it was super fun to get to run and jump and play. We managed to do a recall and jumping over 4 jumps in a row! That was pretty darn good for my first try. I like it when I catch up with mom after the jumps and we play tug together. Can't wait for Saturday to try some more!.

SNOW!!!!

Woke up the other morning and had a nice snuggle with mom in bed. When we got up mom took Tess and I outside to do our morning business. Everywhere I looked it was covered with white fluffy stuff that mom called snow. Even though I had never seen it before I knew instantly that I love snow. It is cold and a little bit wet and fun to run and jump through! I got the zoomies and raced around the yard 20 times! I ran and jumped and leaped and ran and jumped and leaped...mom laughed and said I looked like a wild horse bucking. Wow, who knew that snow could be so much fun? It has all gone away now but mom says we will get some more soon...cool!

I am going to school

Mom started me in puppy classes a few weeks ago (I was naughty, see my last entry for details). She was really upset since I have been growling and biting at her whenever she reaches for me. I like the trainer and don't mess around with him but whenever his back is to me I try to bite mom, eat the leash, growl and generally make a fuss! I guess I am doing pretty good in the class when I don't pull an attitude. I can heel pretty well. Mom is getting better at handling me - she has learned that if she flashes the leash in front of my face I will try to bite it - now she trys to avoid that. Our classes are kind of fun, sometimes they teach us some basic agility moves...learning the weave poles and stuff like that. Plus mom took me to Tess's flyball practice and I was allowed to do a recall in the flyball ring which was super fun!

There are soo many ways to be naughty!!!!!!

Lately, I have bitten mom, growled at her and even nipped her bum! I like to dig holes, pick and eat vegetables from the garden, and torment my sister Tess. I love to eat mom's underwear, chew on wood furniture and chase the cats. I tear up newspapers, rip plastic bags, dig through the recycling box and try to pull up and destroy the carpet in the living room. ;)

Oh, being naughty is so much fun!

Doggie Sno-Cones are YUMMY!

This weekend we went to another flyball tournament. Mom, Tess and I slept in a tent at night which was really fun! It was sooo very hot outside that mom took me to the cool down pools that the race dogs use and let me splash around. A nice lady making doggie sno-cones gave me one to try out. It was very cold and YUMMY!!!!! Chicken and liver flavoured!!!!!! I liked it a lot!!!!!!! I hope mom will make those at home for me sometime.

A Beginning

I have a new family! There are two fat cats, another woofer like me and our mom - a two-legger who heaps attention on me! I think I fit in pretty nicely around here and I must say, I was clever to pick them for my family.

My first week here was a busy one. Mom took me out in the car with my big sister Tess. We only went to the vet but they gave me lots of liver treats so I liked it. One night we went for a long walk and everybody we passed wanted to stop and give me attention -that was pretty cool too. Then we went on the longest car ride possible to visit my new Nana and Granddad and Auntie. They loved me, even though I peed on Nana's kitchen floor (oops). After our visit, Mom took Tess to a flyball tournament and I got to go along too. It sure looked fast and fun. I can't wait 'til I am old enough to play flyball just like my big sister!
