Arrival Story:
I adopted Ethel Marie from Kentuckiana Pug Rescue in April 2004. She was 9 1/2 years old. I had many misgivings because of her age, but I wouldn't trade my little old lady for all the young puggies in the world.

Bio:
I have a pug brother named Barney, who is a big baby. He is only three years old and he thinks I want to play with him. He is just a "dumb ole boy"!! Mom is always telling me, "Ethel Marie, quit acting ugly!" My Mom works with Kentuckiana Pug Rescue as the KY Adoption Coordinator. That means that she tries to help people find their perfect puggie.

Forums Motto:
Ethel Marie, quit acting ugly!!

Thank you everyone for all the good wishes, bones, rosettes, etc. for my Ethel Marie. I miss her so much still. I miss her barking at her food and not letting the boys get by her. I miss her laying by the computer while I worked, I miss her "rolling" any dog she decided she didn't like (that was about all the dogs she ever met) LOL! I just miss my Ethel Marie.

A Tribute for Departed KPR Pugs

Hi It's Ethel Marie's Mom. I still miss my Ethel Marie so much and visit her grave each day. Our new rescue pug, Bella, is helping me heal, but no other dog will ever take Ethel Marie's place in my heart.

I made a Tribute Board to honor our departed KPR pugs. All of these dogs, whether they found their forever home before they left, or not, are waiting at the Bridge. This Board was on display at our May event in New Albany, IN. Unfortunately it is a work in progress. Each dog, when they go to the Bridge, will be added to the Board.

I have added a few pictures of the board on this page.

Hello Everyone: After coming to grips with the denial I have been in and much soul searching, I have decided to put my darling, Ethel Marie out of her pain and misery. She is falling constantly and the pills that the vet gave her have not helped her. She is in pain. I have made the very painful decision to send her to Rainbow Bridge. I have an appointment with her vet on Saturday, March 10 at 8:00 a.m. Central Time. Please remember me in your prayers. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do and one of the hardest decisions I have had to make.
