Dooley reserved & Staffie pup gone

The little Staffie has gone to her new home and is now called "Poppy". Mum was allowed to cuddle her for the first time (as she has been isolated for 7 days) and she says she's really sweet and not at all nippy, just wants to cuddle!
Dooley the sweet little Staffie girl has been reserved. They're a nice couple who live out in the country and have always had Staffies or Labs. They bonded with her straight away and mum thinks it will be a brilliant home. The only issue is that the lady's mum has a very bossy Golden Retriever who can be a bit temperamental with other dogs but he will have to get on with Dooley as they go on trips gogether quite a lot, they are bringing him down next week to meet her.
Tyler the Staffie rehomed 2 weeks ago is having a check tommorow, if you remember there was an issue with a mysterious bruise on his leg so the manager wants to visit him to see how he's doing. Will keep you updated.

The little Staffie pup is going to one of the vet nurses who looked after her, she had the home check today and all was ok. Woody the Lab has been reserved by an elderly gentleman who has two (very fat) elderly Labs already, mum doesn't think he'll cope, Woody is very livley even for a Lab!

Bailey - Border Collie - 5 1/2 months - Female - Black and white - Baily is a sweet natured little thing from working lines. She is good with kids and other dogs but will need an experienced home due to her bloodline. She is shy to begin with but loves to cuddle and would be perfect as a family pet as long as activities such as obedience and agility are provided
Over here in the UK we have a vetenary charity called the PDSA, who treat dogs who's owners are on benifits. Unfortunatly they will only treat up to 3 animals from one family. So when a Staffie and her litter of 4 were handed over, they took (for treatment) the two most healthy pups and the mum, and were planning to have the other two pups PTS. They managed the first one but then the vets the rescue uses stepped in and took the remaining puppy away to treat it themselves. Well the pup is still poorly but the vets are convinced it's nothing contagious so the rescue has took it on (and will have to pay for the treatment). No one is allowed to handle it though, as the manager isn't convinced it's clear from anything (esp as Parvo is going around again). Hopefully it won't be long before the pup is back to full health though and is fit for rehoming.
Mum says she thinks it'll be hard finding all these pups homes. Mille (one of the two Border Collie X Shih Tzu pups who came in a few months ago), is still there. 9 weeks old when she came in and now 18 weeks! The poor girl isn't having much look as all potential adopters have fallen through.
On a brighted note mum has fallen in love with Bruce! She said she had him out in the field yesterday and was playing football with hom for hours...they both got caked in mud! He's a sweet boy, just very energetic.

New Staffie

There's a really sweet new Staffie girly in:
Dooley - Staff Bull Terrier - 3yrs - Female - Red - Dooley is a shy little girly who needs a quiet home. She is not your typical happy, confident Staff. Dooley has been attacked by other dogs so can be fear agressive, however she would be okay with a quiet, gentle dog. She has lived with children but again has growled through fear so will need a home with children over the age of 12yrs.
Woody has failed his homecheck so is now unreserved. Rex has also been taken off reserve (for the second time) as they havn't been in contact for ages again. Woody and Butch have also been castrated now.
Luke's name has been changed back to Bruce. He's becomming very naughty and knows how to mess around, be silly and wind mum up! Nice one Bruce!

Woody reserved and a new dog

Piglet and Tyler have gone to their new homes. Mum is planning to do a check up in a couple of weeks on Tyler as when the vets castrated him they found a bruise on the inside of his leg they were convinced was from a kick. Mum played the dectective and kept an eye on his people, even setting up baby monitors to listen to them alone with him! She couldn't find anything to be suspicious about but still wants to check. He's not at all a flinchy dog so if in a couple of weeks he looks at all nervous around people she's just going to take him. Piglet on the other hand is doing fantasticly well with her new people, is apparently very tollerant of the todlers and is calm in the house. We believed her to be un toilet trained, but apparently barks at the back door to let them know when she needs to go out. The mum of the lady who's had her has now reserved Woody the Labrador, but mum feels she won't cope with him. He is very very livley, even as fat as he is...so imagine what he's going to be like when he looses that weight! She doesn't seem like a doggy person and doesn't want to interact with him at all. She has her homecheck later today and the lady doing it is going to really interrigate her.
There's a new dog in now too. His name was Bruce, but mum's changed it to Luke as he doesn't suit it
Luke - Staff Bull Terrier X Rottweiler - 12months - male - black and tan - Luke looks like a Pitbull the size of a Lab! He is good with other dogs and children but has never met cats. Luke is good off lead but needs some training on it, esp as he is so strong. He's a real softie and loves to be around people.

Harry's trip to the vets went ok. He has had to start his vaccinations from scratch again as naughty mummy left it too late. The vet had a look at his eyes and thinks he's got a bit of conjunctivitus. He's on an eye creme for that but it's clearing up v quickly.
I've not been too well either, I've been falling over a lot. Mum's a bit worried about me.

Yorkie pts

Well the little Yorkie was put to sleep today as no one came forward to claim her within the 7 days. Staff felt it the best option as she was suffering from cancer and was a agony from her mouth.
Tyler and Rex have been for their castration opps. However the people who have reserved Rex havn't been in contact in weeks so mum is going to take him off reserve if she hasn't heard from them by tomorrow morning. Tyler had is home check this afternoon and all went fine...it's very posh mum said!
Harry is booked in for a booster at the vets tommorow evening and also to have his eyes checked out (they've been gunky and yucky for a couple of weeks now). Mum has also booked him on a training course! She felt it would be nice for him to have more interaction with other dogs and also for the mental stimulation. He is going on a 4 week intensive course starting on the 6th of Feb at the best school in the area. He will be training initially with just one other dog, but at the end of the 4 weeks he can enroll on a 6 week course in a 5 dog group.
