I got off the freeway at the next exit and came around and pulled up about 10 feet past him and stopped the car, I had another one of our dogs int he car with me (Kona) so I took her leash off of her and slowly walked to the back of the car with it.
When he saw me he started to get up, this is when I noticed how big was, and he walked over to me and just put his head on my leg as if to say thanks.
I opened the back door of the car while my wife took Kona into the front seat and he jumpped in the back seat and curled up for the ride home.
