Arrival Story: Our beloved siberian husky { Olympia } passed away. I was beside myself with grief, and couldn't get myself to go home til I knew my DH & DS would be there, after a week of this I decided to get another pup right away, I found Hailey through a local training school, we went to take a look at her, and you know the outcome of that. I myself have never been able to look at a puppy when I'm in a position to get one, and turn it down. Here was this beautiful little Blue eyed devil at 9 weeks old she was a force to be reckoned with, what a little spit fire, I loved it. She was the total opposite of Olympia. I think it might have been harder if she had been the angel that Olympia was. We spent countless hours training, so she would be a good pup in public, as we walked in alot of public places, as well as her going to work with me. Hailey would sit at the curb, and would not cross the street until you said the word CROSS. My husband did not believe that she could, or would do that so he tried to trick her on one of our walks in town, when the cross walk thing started blinking the guy walking sign my DH said HOUSE, Hailey didn't budge, then he said BOSS, still no reaction.{ I have to say I was a little nervous that maybe she would go when he said Boss, but she didn't} So finally he said cross, and on she went.
Bio: Hailey was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 5 yrs. She started with petite mal seizures which were few & far between, then she began to have Grand mal seizures about 2 yrs after the diagnosis, these became more frequent, finally we hit the Cluster seizures, these are the worst ones they started the last year of her life. Hailey passed away at the age of 10 yrs due to complication's from severe seizures.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
My Dearest Hailey,
You came into my life like a crash of thunder, and you went out like a gentle rain.
You filled a void in my heart when it was torn apart by the loss of a love so deep.
You made me realize that even though you could never replace Olympia in my heart, I still had plenty of love there for you.
In the beginning you gave me laughter through the tears, with your boundless energy, and your wild spirit you did something amazing everyday. In time my heart did heal. Alot has changed since you left us 3 years ago, your Daddy & I bought a house in the country. I'm sorry we couldn't have moved while you were still with us, you would have loved it here. We had a storm here yesterday, the thunder was crashing, and the lighting was so bright, I thought of you. My Hailey girl Goddess of Thunder. Thank you Hailey for guiding me the rest of the way, I am where I belong now. Rest my sweet girl for we will meet again, Love Mommy!
Well it wasn't really a dog park we used to go to the tennis court down the street from our house, it was fenced in, and we had quite the group of puppies that would show up for our play date, it could get really crazy in there. I remember one time my friend Wilbur the Golden retriever, and I were running so fast around the court, that when we came back around to the humans we ran right into Wilbur's mommy, and knocked her off her feet. OOPS! She wasn't mad, but she did hurt her caboose when she fell.
Yup, that's me. When I was a puppy I used to run around the house, and literally bounce off the walls. If you were sitting on the couch with hot coffee you were a great target for me to cut around, and by that I mean run up one side of you, around the back, and down the otherside, object of this game was to see if I could do it without spilling your coffee, BOL!!!!! Anyhow, mommy saw me actually running so fast through the house one day, that I ran across a wall clock, and the picture window. { we had a sectional couch so this made it alot easier for me to do seeing as how I started on the couch, and ended up running on the clock, and window{ by the way the clock was huge the size of a painting, it doubled as a mirror} Then one day I realized the pleasure of just running from the kitchen, and using the corner wedge as a back board to bounce off of, WOOOOOOOOOOWHOOOOOOOOO that was fun, til I rammed the wedge into the wall making a hole, mommy was not amused. In a stern voice she said so what, now your a line backer! BOL!!! Til next time, Go Go Rocket racer!
