Arrival Story:
After being beagle-less for over 2 years, we found the BREW New England website and fell in love with little Elsey - so, as of Jan 1, 2003 when a BREW volunteer delivered her to our home, we have been beagle-love-filled.
Bio:
Elsey Mae came to BREW New England through a rescue of beagles from a research facility. She was just 1 year old and had been used for experimental testing - of what nature we do not know. At a year old, Elsey Mae had to learn to climb stairs, tolerate noises such as the furnace, frig and tv, and accept human handling without fear of something happening to hurt her. She fell in love with her sister Libby Loo (#32378) who came to live with us a month after we got her and they were precious together. She mourned the death of Libby Loo deeply and it took her along time to open herself and accept her new brother Charlie. Elsey Mae still has times of regressive memorys of her labratory days and requires much gentle love and attention.
