We certainly didn't intend to get a third dog, but a lady who volunteers at the local shelter told us about this little guy who was brought in to the shelter. He was in such bad shape he was going to be euthanized, but she saw something special in him, so agreed to foster him. His hip had been broken due to abuse and he had been starved. You could see every bone in his body. But, even though he had been through so much, he had the sweetest disposition. Since she knew we had 2 other Rat Terriers, she told us about him and asked if we'd be interested in adopting. He was so pitiful looking--had just come through hip surgery and was still shaved and the stitches were still in, but one lick and we were hooked. He was nothing but skin and bones and I feared he wouldn't make it, but we had fallen in love with him. He is the sweetest, best natured little guy. He definitely has his forever home with us.
Bio:
Kibbles has since had 3 surgeries on his knee--the same leg that he had the hip surgery on. That leg is shorter and he doesn't have as much use of it as the other 3 legs, but that doesn't stop him. He gets around just fine!!
