I Can Swim!

I had quite a day today...I found out that I can swim! My Mommy and Daddy took me out for a canoe ride and I peeked over the side of the boat. Well, the water looked so cool and it was hot out, so I jumped overboard into it. I got scared, so I just started kicking my limbs and Mommy was about to jump in after me because, since I didn't know I could swim, she of course didn't either! I made it back to the boat and Mommy pulled me up back into it and I collapsed on her lap for the rest of the ride. I was so happy she helped me that I was kissing her like crazy! We rode around a bit more, but it was slow-going because Mommy had to paddle from the middle of the boat where she was sitting with me. I love the water though; I spent some time afterward on the shore splashing around and chasing a stick and some other doggies. What a day!

My First Trip to the Ocean

I went to the park for the first time yesterday. There were lots of other dogs and people to sniff and play with; I especially liked the white Jack Russel terrier with a black head because he was just my size. The park was near the ocean, too. My Daddy put me into the ocean water and I swam a little bit. The water was really cold! I ate some sand because I love to eat everything, and it came out of me in the same condition it went in! I love adventures!
