Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:
he can "sing" very well, and howl and hold a lonnnng note. I think he has a good range. :P

Arrival Story:
We picked Bobby up from a breeder hours from our house. He was around 6 weeks old and was one of the six in a litter of 3 male+3 female chows. He seemed to be the most social and he was also the biggest. It was really hard choosing a dog but he won our hearts over :3 I was in grade 4 and scared of dogs prior to that experience, but he was so cute.

Bio:
When Bobby was a pup he had some surgery on his eyes to prevent worse potential damage for when he grew older. He had a little lamp around him and it was very cute. :D I remember his parents at the kennel were very big. I wonder if he's as big as them now... he used to take up only 2 tiles on the kitchen floor but now I'm sure he can take up 4 - 6 depending on how he's laying about.

Bobby's Musings

Fall

(Human entry)

This is Mary typing. = ) Well, the other day I went home from school (living on campus)...to a really clean dog! Turns out my dad took Bobby to the groomers, so a lot of icky "summer" fur...all gone. And today in Waterloo, Ontario, we had a good 1-2 inches of snow. Back in Toronto, I'm sure Bobby is enjoying it.

The last time I was outside with him (maybe 2 weeks ago), he was enjoying the last days of fall...running around, sniffing the fallen leaves...his coat seems to blend in well with the colours of fall, the red, brown, yellow, green.

Soon, Bobby is going to be turning ... um... I might've lost count, but I believe TWELVE years old. I always hated it when I had to think about my baby puppy growing up, but that's what dogs do. I guess I'm scared because one day I'll have to go home and he won't be there. Oh, the joys of human years and dog years. I am picturing Bobby running in the yard, he's still very agile and strong, though! :P

Bobby's Day at Grooming!

The other day I went with my dad to pick Bobby up at a grooming salon, and boy oh boy he was quite "excited". Actually, being naturally attracted to cats and other animals he decided to "go" for the cat there. Luckily, nothing too bad happened and we left for home with a great smelling dog.

I think Bobby feels better to get rid of some fur for the upcoming summer. He must get hot under there, he pants a lot and I can smell his breath! Eee! Yes, I need to buy him some toothpaste.

Bobby also has some new pictures taken but being camera-shy (he turns away, aww) I only have so many of him looking my way. I have to catch him off guard and that's hard with my digital camera since its shutter speed isn't lightning fast. Ha ha.

Looking at his age, I can't believe Bobby is 9. Weird I swear he was 8.... Oh yes, I think I mentioned in the last entry that Bobby likes wet dog food, but he's liking it dry now, infact he finishes his meals more now that we give him just the dry stuff. He also finished eating my Kraft Dinner for me the other day. Thank you Bobby. :D

Ooh, I can add another dog here, my mom's Keeshond! Her name is Keesha (very original indeed hehe) and I think she was adopted from the Toronto Humane Society at least 5 or 6 years ago. Um... either way, she's really REALLY energetic. She enjoys giving her paw to you if you saw "paw" -- of course it's more likely she will if you have any sort of food or treat which she goes CRAZY for!

That's the difference between her and Bobby. Bobby is like a royal prissy cat of some sort, and didn't respond like crazy to dog treats (but human food, yes). However we've been making the snacks for Bobby a more of a seldom occasion so he usually seems more pleased when I give him a milkbone.

Well that's the update for now!

Please add Bobby as a friend. :)

Winter don't leave!

Winter's great! The first thing Bobby does when he goes outside is to dash in the snow and eat it like ice-cream!! *chompchomplicklick* then he might roll around or howl at the people that go by as they crazy carpet behind our backyard.

Bobby also needs some more canned dog food to go along with his dried food goodness. Man, he used to eat dry food only but we've made the terrible mistake of spoiling him like crazy. But he's so cute :D The first time we fed him "wet" food when he was puppy, we were just opening a sample Iams can that was part of some puppy pack, and he was outside... he smelled us opening the can and prompty came in. :)

He's also taken a liking to those Milkbone Bacon Pleezers (and the Steak/Cheese variety) along with his regular crunchy Milk Bones. :D Funny thing is, I still considere Bobby "anorexic" because eating never excites him that much...only "human food" (not actually eating humans, just our food :D)

Cheers until next time and if you're reading this, I hope you like Bobby :)
