Birthday: November 12th 2005 Likes: Cuddling on the couch, running in the yard, playing with cat, and FETCH! Pet-Peeves: Strangers, loud noises, cars, and car rides. Favorite Toy: Anything that belongs to Alex and/or squeaks. Favorite Food: Anything. She's not a picky eater in the least. :P Favorite Walk: Everywhere! Although not a people-dog, she LOVES the great outdoors. Best Tricks: Dancing on hind legs, alarm clock wake ups, kitty tag, catch, open-the-door, and bring it. Arrival Story: She was a surprise Valentine's Day gift from my aunt to my mother. Although at first we were unwilling to have yet another puppy in the house, she quickly squirmed her way into our hearts. Bio: Sam's not fond of strangers, but that's typical with Shelties. What amazed us, however, was how willing she was to cuddle up to my little brother the first day she came to live with us. He had a bad case of pnuemonia in both lungs, and although it was not bad enough to warrant hospitalization, he was prone to severe random coughing fits. Sammie didn't mind this and gave him kisses anyway.
She's also extremely gentle with small animals. When our Cayuga ducklings were a day old and valnerable to the cats, Sam kept shepherding the cats away and would give kisses to the little birds. The ducks are terrified of Sam, but she's totally cool with them.
