Arrival Story: Ollie has a rather checkered past. This is at least his fourth home. His rap sheet shows that he was abandoned at a park, where a family found him and took him home. After an unknown period of time, they brought him to the animal shelter saying he was "overly energetic." He was then adopted by a family who brought him back after one day saying he had "behavior problems." Based on Ollie's categorical denial of all these allegations, I adopted him. I'll believe him just as soon as he stops jumping up on me.

Bio: For a while, I didn't know what to think about Ollie's breed heritage. I thought he might be a pure Labrador Retriever, but he's not grown since I got him, and he's a bit small to be all lab. He's a bit lanky and gangly -- his legs seem just a bit too long for a lab. I think there's a chance that he's a mix of Labrador Retriever and Golden Retriever. He has a small white spot on his chest. Everyone remarks on his amazing disposition -- even for a lab or golden retriever. He is incredibly mellow and he very seldem barks. Even then, it's just a single excited bark. I'm convinced that it's one of the bad habits he picked up from other dogs at the doggie day care he stayed at this summer.
Unless you're a rawhide bone, in which case you might expect a rather short lifespan, Ollie is friendly towards nearly everything: people, dogs, puppies, cats, kids. When he first meets you, there's a good chance he's going to jump all over you, and he has also been known to hump people, particularly attractive women. Oddly, many seem to enjoy it--perhaps because he is a harmless neutered dog.
