Arrival Story:
We got puppy fever after having our first husky for 5 years. We felt she needed a playmate little sister. We drove an hour to look at little 5 week old husky pups. We chose Calypso because she was unique with a black spot on her forehead. We couldn't take her home right then because she still needed more shots. We waited anxiously for another week and then drove the hour once more to pick up our baby.

Bio:
We chose the name Calypso because we love Greek mythology. Calypso is the Greek goddess in the Odyssey who seduced Odysseus and kept him on an island with her for several years. Calypso has had hip dysplasia since she was only a year old. The vet said that she is already developing arthritis on top of it. She is in pain sometimes, and we have to give her medicine to relieve it. She is still a happy husky though! She takes Glucosomine, MSM, and Vitamin C daily, and we are looking into water therapy instead of surgery.
