We lost our best friend Sept. 5. Gus had to have his leg amputitated in March. He had a fatty tumor that kept coming back after 2 surgeries. It was a fatty tumor that had tendrils that were all over his leg. He had a bad time with the surgery but was doing well at home. He always had to sweetest looks on his little face. I believe he must have had a blood clot that passed because he was just fine when we left him but we returned from a funeral to find him dead at the dog door. That was the most awful thing that could have happened. We loved him so much and will remember all the fun we had with him. He will be missed.

The latest!

Well, mom got back from her trip with my human brother Craig, Australia and New Zeland and for 5 weeks this time. Boy, I missed her and daddy put on the lamp shade thing on my head cause I wouldn't leave my leg alone where I had surgery. It was horrible and I looked like a lamp shade on a light! Hopefully, none of my friends saw me!

My brother Boris just got home from the hospital in Stillwater, he had to spend a week in ICU. He is a counter surfer and found the motrin 800 mg and ate them. He went into renal failure and needed to stay there till they got him flushed out. I missed him bunches.

Was really glad when he got home, we played and chased each other and had a great time together. I really missed him and he missed me too! Boy was he sick, didn't know they had a vet school at OSU! Sure am glad they got him well.

Ta for now, Gus

Ouch!!!!!

Surgery #2 on my leg! Not fun, I had scar tissue on my leg from the first surgery taking off the growth I had. I have tons of stitches this time. I chewed off the bandage again, hee hee they think they can stop me, but I need to sit down and that darn bandage makes me crazy. They were gonna put on this stupid collar thing, but decided not to since I wasn't really bothering my stitches, just sitting on my leg popped 2 of them. I bet I get more scar tissue. That won't make my folks happy.......I was a good boy though. Santa came to visit and I got toys and cookies it was great! Mom took pictures of me with stupid raindeer antlers and a jingle bell collar on. Can you believe that! I was cute though!
