Too many people

Everyday this week we've had visitors. They all come to see me! I think my mommy tells her friends that I'm new and so everybody tells mommy how cute I am that is so sweet. I know that people like my kisses too. :)
Mommy took me for a walk again this morning. Her foor is much better and she can walk a little bit more. I love those walks!

My first walk

Hello everyone,
I didn't write my diary the previous days due to too much playing with my brother Chiquito or Chikis like Mom calls him. Chikis likes me more and more every day, now get along much better. Kiki had a doctors appointment on saturday and dad took her there so she could get her vaccinations, but later that day she got sick. Mom says it was the shot that the doctor gave her. Mommy was kissing her and telling her how much she loves her. Kiki got better the next day. I think she only wanted to get mom's attention.
Last night, I heard mommy telling daddy that she was going to take Chikis and me for a walk this morning. Chikis heard that and got so excited. That she hasn't being able to do it since she had that surgery.This morning mommy ask Chikis if he was ready to go for a walk, in that moment Chikis started to jump and when to look for his harness, mommy put his harness on and then she leashed me and told us that we needed to be patiente with her because she can't walk fast yet, her foot is still swollen, and she is still wearing that ugly black boot that the doctor told her to wear. She also told us that the walk was going to be very short.
Let me tell you, that walk was such a fun thing to do!!! Now I know why Chikis gets so excited when going out for walks. While walking I was playing with Chikis, we were sniffing around the trees, we saw a lor of squirrels, birds and other dogs too, chikis barked at the other dogs because he doesn't like other dogs. It was a short walk but I really enjoyed it!!.

Today while I was on the bed with my mommy and Chikis a looked to the right and something caught my attention, it was a furry dog black and red just like me and everytime I moved that doggie moved too!!,so I started barking at it and he barked back, I growled and he growled back!! I tried to get near him and he tried to get near me too and then I saw my mommy laughing and laughing and she told me it was my reflexion on the mirror and she hugged me and kissed me and told me ,silly dog!! Now I know what a mirror is.:) Mommy went to see the foot Dr. for a little while I had to stay in my crate, but she wasn't gone for a long time so as soon as she came back home she let me go outside. When I came inside I had to pee and I did it on the carpet; Mommy told me that NO! word and took me back out. I was there for a little while and I when I came in mommy told me not to do it again and petted my head.
Mom you need to be patient with me please, I'm just a little puppy. I'm still learning.

Diary of a puppy

Ok, My name is Jerome. Mommy and Daddy named me after Jerome Bettis(The bus), the running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Mommy and Daddy brought me home last week 05/25/06. I was living with this couple that were very nice to me. They had bought me some toys and some cute dishes, but they were gone all day, so I had to stay in that ugly wired box that I've heard is called crate. I was there many, many hours, I've heard Mommy telling daddy that 12 hours was too long. Last week, I was told by my previous dad that I was going to go to a new home, its not that they didn't love me, but that was the best for mesomething about allergies too. One day I saw 2 people at my previous home and I thought we had visitors and then I overhaerd dad telling the lady that I was very friendly and that I love giving kisses. They were talking for a while and, all the sudden I see the tall guy taking that wired box outside, so I thought, yay!! I won't have to sleep there anymore!!. They kept taking my belongings outside and my old dad kissed me godbye and told me he was sure I was going to be better with the tall guy and the short lady that I had just met.
The tall guy and the short lady took me in the truck and the short lady that is now my new Mommy was talking sweet to me and the tall guy which is my new Daddy started talking about a new name for me. I remember my old dad and mom calling me Princeton. But, now I know my name is Jerome.
When we arrived at my new home I met Chiquito and Kiki. I didn't know I was going to have a brother and a sister. Kiki looks different than Chiquito and me, maybe because she is a cat? she is bigger than me and than Chiquito. She makes funny noises when I get close to her, so I try to stay away from her. Chiquito plays with me, but mommy says that he gets jealous and that is why sometimes he doesn't want to play with me, but I think he forgets sometimes that he is jealous and he comes to me to play and we play tag-a-war.
The first day I slept in my new house I was afraid, I didn't know that place and Kiki kept looking at me and walking around my crate. I cried because I missed my other family. Then mommy and daddy turned on the lights and came to see me and talked to me and told me that that was going to be my forever home and they were so happy to have me. I heard mommy telling daddy that I looked like Oscarito when he was little. I asked Chiquito the other day who was Oscarito? and he told me that Oscarito was another furbaby that mom and dad had and he now is at the rainbow bridge. Chikis and Oscar used to be brothers too.
After my new Mommy and Daddy came to see me that night at my crate I slept better.
The next day I hear mommy telling daddy that I was due to see the veterinarian? I didn't know what that was, then she kept telling daddy that they had to work on potty training me because I wasn't using my puppy pads.
Then as they were talking I heard Daddy telling me No, No!! that was a new word to me, so I got so excited and started jumping around, then daddy picked me up and took me to this big green area they said is the back yard and stood there with me for a long time, mommy told Chiquito to go outside with me so I could learn how to lift my leg to pee. They are still working on potty training me, but now I know that No is not a good word.
Saturday morning I saw daddy getting my pet carrier and I said, oh no!! are they taking me to a new house? I thought this was going to be my forever home!! I don't want to leave, please don't take me!! Daddy put me in the carrier and took me to this cold place where there were other doggies like me and in tha back I heard othe doggies crying and barking, then this pretty lady wearing a white coat tells daddy to come in and tells him that I was so cute, so they kept talking and finally this other guy comes and gives her some strange tools and she pinched me with that tool, then she put something liquid in my nose that made me snezzed. After that she said that I need to go back in 3 weeks for the rabies, I have no idea what that is but, I will find out in 3 weeks. That night I slept with my new parents on the bed, they were getting up very often to take me to the back yard to pee, so I didn't pee on the bed. Chikis sleeps on the bed too. Kiki comes every once in a while and sleeps with us, but then she leaves to do something on a big box full of something where after she goes there it stings a lot, but then daddy cleans it and smells good again.I've slept on the bed with them since that night.
Sunday, Chikis told me that Grandma and Grandpa were coming to meet me, that he heard mommy telling daddy to start getting everything ready for lunch. So, I asked Chikis who was grandma and grandpa and he told me that they are daddy's mom and dad and that they have two furbabies, Lucy and Molly which is almost as young as me, but they are girls. Grandma and grandpa got home and grandma immediately pick me up and started kissing me. They are very nice. That day they said it was memorial weekend so they barbecued. I was having fun with my new friends, Lucy and Molly. LAter that day my new grandparents left to their house. I was exhausted!!! So, I laid right next to Chiquito and fell asleep. I would say it was a few minutes later that this flashlight woke me up. It was Mommy taking pictures of us because she thouhght we look so sweet sleeping together.
Monday we all slept til very late. When daddy took me to the backyard I had to poop and when I was done I felt something on my but hanging, it was part of the poop that was stuck on my furr, so I panicked and started running around and scooting to get that off of me. Daddy picked me up and took me to the bathtub where mommy was waiting for me. Mom says that was my first bath and of course she took pictures of me in the bathtub. After that, I was very frisky. I heard Mommy telling daddy that she loves me. That made me feel so happy!!!
Yesterday daddy went to work and came home for a little while to eat. Mommy played with Chikis and me for a long time. She can't walk very much because she had foot surgery before they got me, so she is wearing a big black boot that looks heavy to me. She tells me the No word a lot and right after that, she takes me to the back yard, are they trying to tell me something?
Today daddy went to work and mommy stayed with us. There is water falling from the sky, that is new to me. It has been like that all day. I don't want to go outside because my little paws get wet and I don't like water on me.
So far that is my story. I've learn a lot from my new family during this past week. I am so happy with them. I like when they tell me they loved. It makesme feel so happy, that all I can do is giving them kisses.
I'm going to take a nap now.
