Sprout is sick

Poor little Sprout is sick. He's been acting kind of tired lately and I just thought he was being a stick in the mud. Dad took him to the vet this morning and apparently he really does have a bug! Poor little baby. I'm going to share my rawhide with him. Maybe that will make him feel better.

The good thing about him being sick is that Mom is making both of us scrambled eggs. She said she just can't feed Sprout something special without giving me a treat too. YUM! I love eggs! So, it's okay with me if it takes Sprout a few days before he starts feeling better (Okay Sprout? Hint/Hint)

The Chase is On!

I've had a boring past few days. Mom and Dad were busy all weekend with my people-brother, Kyle at a baseball tournament. I wish I could go because I love chasing baseballs, but the park won't allow any pets! :-/ So Sprout and I have spent a lot of time at home alone together.

Last night, Mom let me outside in the front yard while she was doing some yard work and I was so happy to be outside in the warm sun shine! I saw this fuzzy brown thing with a white tail in the neighbor's yard and I couldn't help myself. I had to investigate so I slowly started creeping that way. All of a sudden it jumped up and darted across the yard and I just had to chase it! It moved so fast I could barely keep up! Then, when I finally gave up, I turned around just in time to see a lady walking this black fuzz ball down the street! That was just too tempting - so I rushed over to say hello and I think I must have scared the fuzz ball because he jumped up in his person's arms. Then my mom tried to catch me but I wasn't ready to go inside yet so I decided to play tag and run from her. It was pretty funny watching Mom, Dad, Kyle and Broc chase me around the front yard! NO ONE IS AS FAST AS I AM! But.. yeah... I got in a little bit of trouble when they finally did catch me. Now I can't go outside without a leash on anymore.. :-/

Dog Days of Summer

Ahhh! The first day of summer! I know - I know, not officially. But, mom is off work from now until August 1st since school is over so summer has started for us. It's been great having her home today. We've played, snuggled, and got to spend a lot of time outside while she was planting flowers. I found several nice sticks to chew on - and there were a few bugs and butterflies to chase too.

It was kind of hot though and Sprout kept knocking over our water bowl. Puppies! He's seriously lacking in the manners department. When will he ever learn to drink without sticking his feet in the bowl?
