Arrival Story:
We had just lost our beloved Hannah. She had to be put to sleep. I went to our local pound to register with them to volunteer because I couldn't stand the empty feeling in my heart. While there I looked at the dogs and all the women that were volunteers mentioned this sweet dog. I didn't know what to do so I took some time with her out in the play area and really liked her. I later took my sons back with me to see her. They really liked her as well. She isn't a replacement for Hannah, because I know that we never could replace any dog with another. But she is so sweet, gentle loving and appreciative of having us as her forever home that we are grateful to have found her. I know that God is so good to have given her to us to love and care for. She is so obedient that it is like she lived with us her entire life. Just like she knew what our house rules were before she arrived. We love her!

Bio:
He previous owner became allergic to her and therefore had to give her up. I believe she came from an Hispanic home because her name was Quilla. We changed it to Keeya because it is the closest we could come to pronouncing Quilla in Spanish and she responded immediately to it when we called her Keeya.

Keeya,
You have been with us one year today. We love you so much!
I can't believe that God found you and placed you in our home, the perfect dog for our family. You love unconditionally, you obey, you ask nothing of us and we all the more want to give you everything. You aren't a dog to us, Keeya. You are our family member. I know you miss us when we go out without you, but we always return and you are so wonderfully excited when we do. You show us your love by snuggling up with us when we arrive home.
