september 4th

These are the last two pictures mum took me yesterday, you see my shoulder has broken down and I can't stand on my leg anymore. It's not a real clear picture because I don't want to get out, I walk very slow and with difficulty so I prefer to stay on my small sofa on the floor. Sometimes I moove and when mom is in the kitchen I go there to eat, I eat everything bread, hot dog , cookies sometimes even apples. I was not allowed to eat those thing before but now I'm. Mom says that I don't suffer, I known she is hoping in a miracle, that someting will happen and I get well. This week Mauro, my doc, will see what to do.

august 10

today mom has decided that is "picture day" so she tried to take picture of us , most of them are awfull because she never focus well , the three of us together or she cut my hair or buffie when we were playing. Today I'm feeling better mom took me a picture while playing with the ball and you can see my shoulder very big now. My leg hurts and most of the time I stay on the others legs. Yesterday mom wanted to take me to our new house but I didn't want to get into the car. Did I ever tell you that I never seat, when we drive somewhere? I'm always up, if we drive for 2 hours or for 9 hours, even in the camper I stand up all day. Now is difficult to me jump on mom's car and stay still because I'm big, and car are not made to have a great dane standing up on their back. Well mom tomorrow is living to south america, she has Mauro (my vet) coming every day and I'll stay with Jessie and granpa + meggie and buffie. She's worried for me but she can't say no anymore, so today I gave her many many kisses ( one kiss of mine are 20 of buffie and meggie) just to tell her I'll be here when she'll be back.

july 24th

Another week has passed, I've been seek at the end of last week for 3 days my stomach didin't work very well and I had diarrhea, so the vet stopped the pills . Now I'm feeling better I started to eat again and take the pills for my leg. I's very very hot I go out only early in the morning or late at night. Daddy went to a big store near Lecco to by a air conditioning. He put it in the room where I use to stay and I tell you that it's great. I'm all alone because Nino that used to stay with me has been sent on vacation south of Italy with his former owner. Only meggie comes to stay with me sometimes (when mom is around) For Buffie is too hot to move too and when I see her I want to play but she can't even move, mom says that she wants to by a carriege to take her outside because she suffers too much.
To tell you about me the vet said that we go on another week to take pills then we'll stop and see what happens. The 3 days I didin't take them I had pain and I limped while walking so I don't think it will be any good.

july 19th

Mom says I'm getting old, I've white hairs in my face and neck and I don't jump on her when she comes back from work. Until last month this was my welcome home, jump on her shoulders and kiss her face (sometime breaking her shirts). Now I can't make it anymore and that's how she knows I'm not feeling well. I rest, and I go out as the same, but if you kook at me you can see that my right leg limps. Anyway i Kisses my mom all over I can still jump on the sofa and I try to run after Meggie that doesn't want me near her.
We spent the saturday afternoon trying to feed two small birds that went off their nest and fell in the garden. We, meggie and I tried to lick them but mom did'nt want, they were so small and didn't make it. Mom said that there are too many bad things that happen to us we need some real good news. Tonight is too hot we don't go out we stay here waiting for fresh air to come I don't like hot weather so mom took the fan down and I can rest .

It has been a nice vacation anyway, we went, all of us, camping in Germany the weather nice and cool, the place beautiful right in the middle of the "black forest" then the last day of vacation I started to feel pain in my right front leg.
Mom called the vet and he said to gime some pills to take the pain away. We came home last week and saturday mom took me to the vet. He had Xray on me and we found out the there's a big cancer on it, with no solution. Mom asked if we maybe cut the leg there can be a possibility?, but they say no only one more month to live.On monday we went to another clinic to hear from a different doctor but he said the same thing. So there is no chanche to me to go ahead I just have to wait. The doctor give me pills for the pain I can go on my Camper anymore, be carefull when I get on the sofa...
If you see me now I'm just the same, you can't imagine what I have , I'm happy as usual I kiss everybody I walk outside in the garden it's unbelivable,
I'm only 81/2 old I'm still a puppie I like to play with slippers, with balls I eat mom's shoes, I hope not to have a lot of pain
