Arrival Story:
Tommy was the first born puppy in Peek-a-boo's second litter. He was stuck in the birth canal nearly two hours, and was born hydrocephalic, ( water on the brain) and wthout the top portion of his skull...he had no skull above his eyes, all the way around his head. At 6 weeks old he only weighed 1 lb and was not supposed to live, as the vet told me he would probably start having seizures and he would then have to be put down. I decided he wasn't going to die, and I hand fed him for the next 4 weeks, giving him puppy formula and wet food 5 times a day. At 9 weeks old he had more than doubled in size, and by 12 weeks old he weighed over 4 lbs. At nearly 8 months old now, he is 8 1/2" tall and almost 9 lbs, his skull has totally grown in, except for a small soft spot on his fontella, and is is perfectly healthy...enough to have been neutered on May 22nd, 2006. We adore Tommy and his nickname came from the fact that he is a fighter, and would not give up and die. He is also the most loving little dog, always happy and his tail never stops wagging!!

Bio:
Tommy and I..his daddy..like to play a game where he jumps up and steals my baseball cap. I then tell him, " You're a mean little dog...stealing your daddy's hat and then running away with it!!! " He then drops the hat just out of my reach and barks at me...then picks up my hat and runs around the house with it, like it is a trophy!!! I can't help but laugh whenever we play this game!! he is so darn cute!! The picture at the bottom is Tommy's litter mate...her name is Goldie...isn't she a cutie pie!!!
