I'm not a Dog, I'm a Rottweiler!

Maxmillian Mein Schatz (he AKC Kennel name means literally, Maxmillian, My Teasure) lost his fight with terminal cancer on December 23, 2006. He passed away in the same living room that we brought him home to 11 1/2 years earlier. We were with him at the end.

We miss him, we will always love him. He's gone to gather the troops at the Rainbow Bridge and we WILL meet again.

Rest in Peace, Max. We love you!

I have new photos too!

I have added a few new photos to my page!

Grandma is 81 years old. Aunt Lillie is 90! They love us and we know how to be gentle with them. I love to "Scootch" people. I put my backside up against their feet and sit facing out. Not only does it mean I'm not breathing in your face. But the best part is that it helps me get petted more! You'll notice I'm scootching in all these new photos. And getting those hugs and kisses I crave!

The first two are of me and Grandma. She loves to get on the floor with us and play. We know to be gentle. She loves to hug me and I love it when she does.

Here's Aunt Lillie petting me AND kissing me on the head! And then one of her giving me one of Mom's famous Puppy Massages. Mom treats it as a form of exercise. She puts her feet on my back rubs them around. I get a massage and Mom burns calories and gets her legs moving! Mom calls it a win-win situation. So Aunt Lillie tried it. She's pretty good. She's rougher than Mom, 'cuz she wears her shoes!

A New Vet!

Well, I feel so pampered now! I had a skin condition and Mom was so upset that she wasn't sleeping real well. That means I don't sleep well, 'cuz it's my job to watch her. So Mom did some research and long story short, we got a new vet that specializes in doggie dermatology! She knew right away that I had an infection - I even gave it to Rottie! So we've been on antibiotics for 3 weeks now and we feel a whole lot better. The new vet told us we were her best clients 'cuz our humans take really good care of us. Well, Duh! That's why we picked them!

My Introduction

Let me just say that I am one BIG dog. At 148.8 pounds (at last weigh-in) I make a lasting first impression! My most favorite pastime is to eat, but since I have no thumbs and can’t get my own food, I only eat at breakfast and dinner. That doesn’t stop me from eating grass outside, which I almost always regret. Mom says I’m just a dog. Whatever that means.

Ya’ know, Rottweilers get a bad rap (that Omen movie did us in!) but we’re really just life size teddy bears. I won’t hurt you unless you try to hurt those I love. Another of my favorite thing to do is to give kisses and say “I love you”. But Mom says my breath is sometimes so bad that she now knows why that bird fell of that wagon! But then she gives me breath mint treats and I’m kissable again!

I love Dogster and have fun making Pup Pals and writing in my diary!

Woof!
