Arrival Story: Lleo was born in Spain at our farmhouse in Catalunya, Masia Mauri, before we came home to Canada. The LL-litter was our first litter of Seppalas "the second time around" and they all got Catalan names starting with the Catalan letter "Ll". Lleo was the beauty of his litter, handsome and a bit vain, we called him our "Mick Jagger dog."

Bio: Lleo was a son of the immortal "Hank" (Hercules of Sepp-Alta) and actually was not a Siberian Husky at all -- he was a card-carrying Seppala Siberian Sleddog. His dam was our dear foundation bitch Karcajou's Dreama of Windigo from the Serbouseks in Wisconsin. Little Man was a high-flying and flashy single lead dog in his prime. He contracted Leishmaniosis as a youngster in Spain and fought it all his life; his first winter in the Yukon he nearly died from it -- but his second winter he logged over a thousand miles at lead. Finally he became old and decrepit, had a couple of minor strokes, swollen joints from the Leishmania, but he was valiant as ever. And he still had deep brown eyes to die for! Now he is gone. Sepalleo 29 Nov. 1991--22 October 2007 rest in peace . . .

Forums Motto: Run fast as you can, Little Man!

Final Update: We are desolated at Seppala Kennels. Our beloved "Little Man" has gone to the Rainbow Bridge to await our coming. He was only about a month short of sixteen years old when it finally became time for him to go. He was SO special . . .
