My foster mom, a talented photographer, took a wonderful picture of me cuddling with my foster sister, Moxie, before she also found her forever home. It was soooo cute that Pit Bull Rescue Central is using the picture in their 2007 Happy Endings calendar. My first modeling job! I hope you can see it and maybe get one for yourself. I can tell you it is for a good cause, indeed. People can see the happy smiles on our faces and know how important it is to give us a chance. Oh, and both of my sisters also found their forever homes, too, so it really is a happy ending - for us. . .
I am getting so big. My 7-month birthday is coming up and I'm a hefty 37 pounds. My humans are still keeping their fingers crossed that I'll be around 50 pounds, but since we bullies take a while to mature (about three years), they'll have to wait and see. I just love people, especially our neighbors. Most of the time I like to sunbathe or chew my rawhide and keep my humans close when we are outside, but when I'm hanging out with Dad as he washes the cars or putters around in the garage, he has learned to keep me on a tie-out because I love to visit our neighbors if I see them out. My butt just wiggles and wiggles and they can't help but see how cute I am. My humans say as long as I behave like a gentleman and don't jump up, I make a much better impression (they call it being a "good bully ambassador") and I am really working on that. . . it is just that I love giving kisses so much, it is hard to sit still with all those hundreds of kisses ready to go! *sigh* So much to learn . . . LOL!

Wow, I just had my 18-week birthday and getting so big. Mom took me to the vet's to get my own special tatoo (in addition to my microchip). She really thought "I *heart* Mom" with lots of flowers and curliques would be nice, but we settled for a plain old tatoo that would help me get back home in case of an emergency. Personally, I think a skull and crossbones like from "Pirates of the Caribbean" would be really cool. . . Maybe next time. While I was there, they said I weighed 28.8 pounds, so I have doubled in size from the time I came home.
Formal obedience classes started last week. Although I don't have any problem with the basic commands at home, it is amazing how easy it is to lose attention when there are a bunch of other dogs around. It is hard work and I have to keep Mom on her toes all the time so she doesn't lose focus.
I'm going to a doggie daycare with lots of supervision and a really nice lady, Sally, who knows how I like to play and makes sure I get lots of exercise. She says I'm doing very well and learning my doggy manners very well, and that I'm actually pretty patient -- which pretty much floored my mom, 'cause she thinks I'm still a little pushy and bold. I haven't seen my Doberman buddy Draco for a while because his ears were getting dignified - and boy, are they! He is so handsome. But while those ears were healing, he started really growing and is now so much bigger than me (what on earth are they feeding him??) so when we get together again--and with Zach, of course - it should be quite the party . . .

Gosh, I have to tell you about my friends, Draco and Zach. Draco is a Doberman about my age, and Zach is an older guy, about a year old, and very patient with little boy pups. Draco and I can play like nobody's business! Unfortunately, his ears are going to become dignified and stand up, so we can't play for a while because the veterinarian had to do some dignification modifications. I hope I can recognize him again! But I may be able to play with Zach, anyway. He is amazing! So quick and agile, and he really taught me some slick moves.
Anyway, Draco's person took some wonderful pictures of one of our visits and so my mom used those on this page for now. She's probably going to have to update those soon, because I've already outgrown that blue harness, for pete's sakes! Ok, back to my nap . . .
