Delta the digger dog

Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog-dog rescue

Digging, running, his brother, playing with other dogs, howling.

Being alone! Not big on most humans unless he knows you already

Favorite Toy:
his brother, Antare!

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:
Delta doesn't like to leave the safety & comfort of his own home! He has a very large fenced area that he loves to play in

Arrival Story:
Delta arrived here with his brother, Antare, when they were nine months old. The boys are both very timid and had been dumped at the shelter. Due to their shy natures, they were overlooked time and again by adopters. The shelter was overwhelming for them. They arrived as foster dogs, we adopted them on their second birthday!

Delta remains very timid. He is wonderful with other dogs, but humans are scary. He missed some vital socialization as a young puppy and is having trouble making up for it. He is making very slow progress. He wants to be braver, but it's very scary! He'll get there though! On February 21, 2006, Delta disappeared. Huskies are great escape artists. Delta followed his brother out of the yard. Antare came home in under an hour. We didn't see Delta again for almost a month--a long, worry filled, horrid month! On March 16, we got a call that he'd been spotted over 40km from home. The next day I was able to finally catch him. He was skinny but otherwise no worse for wear. We are thrilled beyond words to have him home, safe and sound!!
