Best Tricks:
Leading a dog team in the Yukon on 30-mile runs in the wilderness. At over eleven years of age, Tonya is STILL our best and most trustworthy lead dog.

Arrival Story:
Boss picked her out of the litter at 3 weeks of age as she was fighting her way to world domination one litter-mate at a time. She became my main command leader and inseparable sidekick. Tonya is pretty much the poster-girl for the Seppala Siberian Sleddog breed now. She's retired as a leader except for helping train the younger leaders (shhh! she DOESN'T KNOW she's retired). Postscript: she wouldn't STAY retired! This winter (January 2007) she has made it clear that she is STILL our best leader and that we cannot get along without her services. We just hope all the younger trainee leaders who run beside her are picking up pointers from the Master Leader!!!

Tonya is NOT actually a Siberian Husky -- she is a proud SEPPALA SIBERIAN SLEDDOG from the original SSSD Project in Canada's Yukon Territory! She has her own web page at the Project website [http://www.seppalasleddogs.com/to nya.htm]
