Friends far and near -
I LOVE the pool!! So I've learned to put my big paws in, but I'm still a little nervous for that "big step" off the stairs into the water. But it's SO nice and cool - especially on SUPER hot days like today!
On a happier note - my family has grown! I have a new cousin Stewie! You can check him out here on Dogster - he lives in the Roscoe Village area in Chicago. He and his friend Buddha come over to play on the weekends! I love playing with them (Buddha is TOUGH!) but both my mom and aunt say I have to be careful playing with Stew - might step on him yet. I just can't help it - I love to hang with my friends!!
Even more big news - I caught a bunny! I thought it was the greatest thing of all time, but apparently my mom didn't - she was screaming and yelling like a crazy girl! But the bunny squirmed away (truthfully, it kind of surprised me when I had my mouth around it and it was wiggling!) and hopped off. Hopefully I'll see him again soon - I love the chase!!

Hi everybody! So on Memorial Day, my mom and dad took me to Mt. Baldy at Lake Michigan...I LOVED IT! I would highly recommend it for all my pup friends nearby. There was a ton of sand, a bunch of new smells, and a HUGE swimmin' hole! I got in, and I was a little nervous at first, but then I was a regular swimming machine!
Now, we're thinking of going up near Mackinac Island in Michigan in a few weeks...I hope I get to go! I hear there's a dog ramp off the dock at this cabin they're going to and everything!
AND BIG NEWS! Yesterday, I got to chase some deer! The two of them were just walkin' in the field next to my house where I play with the neighborhood dogs, and then I saw 'em! I chased them REALLY far. My mom and dad were pretty mad at me because they were yelling at me to come back and running after me, but I couldn't stop - I had to get closer to those deer! And I think I was running too close to the highway for their liking, because those deer just took off so fast. I didn't catch them, but WOW - the excitement.
Hope everyone is having a great week!!

Have been looking all over the place for a good place to swim. Went to Michigan last summer when I was just a puppy, but the lake was a bit too big for me then. Now that I'm full grown, I'm ready! But I can't find a place - the Indiana Dunes website says most beaches don't allow dogs like me, and even those that do don't want me in the water. What's a boy to do?
Does anyone have any suggestions for where I can swim in Northwest Indiana or nearby?
