I'm Going To Be A Mom

That right, only 12 days to go and on Sept. 19 I'm going to have a bunch of Chocolate puppies running around. My family is very excited about the whole thing. I am getting very tired now, but they are taking such good care of me and spoiling me rotten.

So I'm not a bad jumper after all!!!

I found out that I'm not a bad jumper after all. I knew the water was TOO cold but I just couldn't get it through to mom. So what happened it my tail gave out. Yeah, it's called cold tail or limp tail. It's kind of like a sprain in the tail LOL. The water was just to cold so my rudder gave out and it made it really painful to swim back to the exit ramp, so when I got back up on the dock to jump the only way I knew how to tell mom was just to not jump!!!!!
I'm going to wait until the weather gets warmer before I jump again.

Too Cold @ Splash Dogs

Today was the first big winter dock jumping competition I attended at CalExpo in Sacramento. I haven't been jumping since Sept. up in Auburn when it was nice and warm. I was trying to complete my Senior division title so I could move onto the Pro division. My mom and I thought it would be a snap since I only had to clear 15'. Wrong!!!! The water was so cold that I froze. I did a couple of practise jumps and mom was pretty excited but I was thinking this is crazy. Then I did my first competition jump and I really didn't want to go but I did anyway just to make her happy. I only jumped 11'8". Then it came time for my second jump and I had a little time to dry off ...I really didn't want to go back in so I didn't. I faked mom out. She threw my bumper in the water just like we practised. I ran and jumped up and down and pretended to be excited. Ran all the way back to the end of the dock and then made my big run to the front for the big jump but instead I just stopped and everyone laughed. Mom tried it a few more times and then got the hint. I didn't want to go back in the water. I'm waiting for warm water.
