Leave a bone for Moxie (in her Texas Bonnet!)

Nicknames: The Moxster, Moxa-ta-po-less, Shnoog, Grill Master (she likes getting in people's "grills," also known as faces)

 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: March 18th 2003
Likes: Moxie prefers cold filtered water from the fridge. She loves hanging her head out of the car like she's part of the GPS navigation system, leading the way to wherever we're going. Turning on her turbo jets & running around likes she's a prison escapee.

Pet-Peeves: She's ticklish on her hiney but only from 6-9am in the morning. Sprinklers that don't sprinkle where they're supposed to & get her-highness wet. She could scratch grooming from her list of "Things to Do" but she's slowly becoming friends w/her brush.

Favorite Toy: Squirrels: She likes sticking just her head out of the doggie door and spying on them in the back yard. None caught as of to date. And her blue ball that's the size of her head ... she likes to give it the death shake ... you just see this blue blur.

Favorite Food: Moxie is more of a snacker (maybe she's heard that it's good to spread your meals throughout the day). When she does decide to eat, she'll get a bite from her bowl and go into another room to chew it. Repeat.

Favorite Walk: She's becoming a celebrity in my neighborhood from our daily walks. People will yell out of their car windows, "MOXIE!" or stop so they can get some of her delicious kisses. I don't think anyone knows my name besides Moxie's Mom.

Best Tricks: Well, she sits on command but only if she sees a box of Greenies nearby. I give her a treat when I leave to go anywhere but she refuses to eat it to protest my departure. Once I'm gone thought she'll gobble it down (I watch her through the window.)

Arrival Story: Moxie was pregnant and dumped in a field. But the owner of that field just happened to have a daughter who fostered animals. This kind foster mom got Moxie's four pups adopted through Operation Kindness (oh, how I wish I could have seen them!) and then I found Moxie on Petfinder.com through the Duncanville Animal Shelter. The foster mom interviewed me and wanted to see my set-up so we arranged a time and she brought Moxie (who was at the time named Barbie) to me and that was Day One of our adventure together.

Bio: Moxie was described as a Terrier Mix but when I ran across the Havanese breed (which I was not familiar with) I realized, "That's Moxie!" The seventh picture with the "It's a Girl" sign was the first day that I had her. My mom got the sign to celebrate the arrival of her GrandPup!! And Yes, the forth picture is the underside of her paw. Would you look at all that fur!! My stars, I love those furry little paws! (Her centerfold picture on the zebra rug - it's FAUX! - is her waiting for a tummy rub.)
