Likes: Toys! Toys are Scamps life...without toys I'm sure he would fade away and give up on life! He also loves food and treats, his appetite is insatiable!
Pet-Peeves: Being left alone! Flies, wasps, bees and anything else that buzzes!
Favorite Toy: Football, stuffies or squeaky toys...in fact any toys will do!
Favorite Food: Absolutely anything that is edible...though happy to try things that aren't also. Raw carrot seems to be a particular favourite!
Favorite Walk: Probably the Beach, or the Forest.
Best Tricks: Catching frisbee and playing football. He will also sit, stay, give paws, speak and lie down.
Arrival Story: My sister was driving along the road early one morning and he came scampering along the middle of the road. He could only have been 4 or 5 weeks old. We took him to the vet for a checkover, and called the police and the dog warden for the area, but no-one had reported him missing. We ended up keeping him.
Bio: Scamp is a lovely natured dog, very obedient, friendly and loving. No one believes he is an old man...he is still pretty young for his years, though he is deaf now. He is obsessed with toys and his teeth are all worn right down with playing with them so much. Scamp always had so much energy, but he is now starting to slow down a bit. He has also developed Cushings Disease and takes daily Chemotherapy medication. Cushings doesn't restrict his life in any way though and he lives life to the full!
T’was the night before Christmas and by the light of a lamp
Not a creature was stirring but for one wide awake Scamp
He had hung up his stocking on the banister rail
When all of a sudden what was that he could smell
Was it a pack of Schmackos or a pigs ear
No wait, could it be what he had wanted all year
He carefully made his way from his bed
With the anticipation of what lay ahead
Along the hallway he tipped on his toes
Into the lounge following his nose
Much to his amazement standing there by the tree
Could it be Santa that’s looking at Me
Hello there young Scamp, Santa did say
I have brought you some pressies for Christmas Day
Have you been a good boy and looked after your Mums
And given some bones to your Dogster chums
Yes Sir, said Scamp, I’ve been a good boy
Please tell me Santa, did you bring me a toy
Off back to bed Scamp, now you must go
And then in the morning, my boy you will know
Back on his toes he tipped to his bed
Curled up in a ball and lay down his head
As he dozed off, his heart filled with cheer
Knowing that Christmas would soon be here
His thoughts turned to family and his Gran that he misses
And hoped there will be lots of mistletoe kisses
He whispered so quietly with his eyes shut tight
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night
Well, I thought I would write my first diary entry, as my Step-brother Snozzle has, and I don't like him having anything that I don't.
Today I played with my ball....all day. I spent my entire day taking one of my balls to my Gran (she lives with us in a granny flat thingy) for her to throw it for me. If she is reading her book and forgets about me, I just put my ball in her lap, and it's all soggy, so that makes her throw it for me. I've got my gran wrapped round my dew claw, and she spoils me rotten. I have basically moved into her granny flat thingy, and it's dead cozy in there and it's just us, and I get all the attention as Snozzle doesn't come in there much, well, not at night-time anyway, when our Mums get home.
So, yeh, anyway, I played with my ball, lay in the sun, ate and drank and made sure Snozzle didn't get near my Gran for snuggles. I have sure earned my keep today I'd say.
