"The Rules":

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are “Tagged”, need to post in their Diary, "The Rules", and their "Seven Pawsome Facts". THEN, choose seven dogs to Tag, and list their names, too. Don’t forget to bark them a p-mail that they have been “tagged” and tell them to read your Diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been “Tagged!”

Seven Facts about me (Oreo):

1. I love to eat everything.
2. I don't like hyper puppies and I wish they would leave me alone!!
3. I like to play agility in my back yard, but shows stress me out.
4. I wish I was an only dog (well, Carma could stay).
5. BSL makes me angry. Grrrr
6. I like to play hide and seek with my people (they hide and I find them).
7. I am the Alpha dog here (at least among the dogs). Mom is the only one who out ranks me in this house.

After I met my mom (part 2)

Hi, it's me, Oreo, I'm back. Lets see, where did I leave off yesterday? Oh, I remember!

In the Spring of 2001 (we lived in the country at that time), someone dropped off their Black Lab at our house. One of our neighbors saw them drive up throw the dog out of his pickup, and drive off. When my mom saw him she decided to help him and find him a new home. I told her that we should just take him up to the pound or give him away to the first people who wants him, but she wouldn't listen to me. So she fostered him for a rescue group and found him a home. The bad thing is that when she found him a new home, she decided to continue fostering dogs. It's like she thought we didn't have enough dogs in the house!! We already had Misty, Carma, and Rocky, that's already to many dogs IMO!! It's weird, some people call me a dog, but I'm really a queen. Anyway, after my mom started fostering, there were all kinds of dogs that came through our house, but at least most of them didn't stay long. Until she brought home Benji and Tassie. My Grandma adopted Benji & my mom adopted Tassie. I keep telling her that I am not a dog person, but she says that I am in the wrong house if I don't like dogs. But of course I could never leave cause I love my mom. Then in 2002, my mom got a new Border Collie puppy. After I taught the puppy who the boss was, she wasn't too bad. That puppy's name is Blaze, she thinks she is so amazing in agility, but I could beat her any day I want. The other dogs all came a little later. So now we have alot of dogs and my mom still fosters the ones who need help. I've decided that I can never change her mind, so I just put up with them all. But, if they bother me I will still teach them the rules of this house!! I am retired from agility trials now, but I still do agility in the backyard for fun. I really do have a wonderful life now. My mom will give me almost anything I ask for, and she tells me how much she loves me every day. Anyway, that is my life's story so far.

I hope you enjoyed reading it,

How I met my mom

This is how I met my mom in April of 1998.

I was a ten week old puppy wondering the streets when two kids found me near their house and brought me into their back yard. Their mom told them that they already had a dog and couldn't keep another one. So the kids called their friend who they called any time they had an animal problem, my mom. She came down to see me, at this time my mom was only 12yrs old and when she saw me she thought I was a Chow puppy!! Can you believe it?!!! Anyway, she called her mom and told her that I was really cute and that she wanted to bring me home to let her see me. She told her mom that she didn't know what breed I was because her mom didn't like chows at that time (now we have a Chow mix in our family too). Well her mom said OK, so they walked me down to her house to meet her mom. When her mom saw me she said "that's a Border Collie puppy!!" and she also agreed to keep me until they found my owners. Well after about a month of looking for my owner, they decided that I could stay with them. My mom was really happy, she told me that she had wanted a dog of her own for a long time. So I got to have alot of fun being a puppy and playing with the two Golden Retrievers in the family. We would play tag in the backyard (I liked to get them to chase me and tease them because they couldn't catch me). When I turned four or five months old (I don't remember exactly), my mom started bringing me to basic obedience classes where I learned how to come, sit, down, heel, and stay. And I made alot of new friends, my best friend was a Beagle. I also learned that the sound of a clicker means I'm gonna get a treat!! When I turned six months old we started basic agility training, that was alot of fun!! I got to meet alot of new dog and human friends there. My best friend was another rescue Border Collie. Then in Dec of 1999, one of the Golden Retrievers I lived with (one of my Aunts), died of cancer right before Christmas. It was sad, but I still had my mom and Misty (the other Golden). I went through my agility training really fast and was ready to show by the time I was two years old (in 2000). I went to my first show in Jan, and my second in Feb. Then I went to my third show in March and I got 1st place in the Novice class. My mom was so happy that she bought me a hamburger (without the greens)!!! That was a really fun day. Then in June, my family brought home another puppy. He was a Tibetian Spaniel named Rocky. He was a cute puppy and I had alot of fun playing with him. At this time my family was talking about moving, but I was to busy having fun to listen. Then in August my family brought hom another dog!! This one was very scared of everything and tried to snap at me through her crate when I tried to say high. My mom started spending alot of time with this new dog and I started to get a little angry. Then about a week after bringing this new dog home we all moved into my mom's grandparent's house were we all had to stay in crates all the time!!! Me and Carma got to know each other while we were at this house and we became friends, but I HATED staying in the crate all the time. I started getting protective of my mom at this time and started snapping at other dogs at my agility classes. My mom was taking me out of my crate as much as possible, but her grandma didn't really like dogs in the house and it was to hot to go outside in the Texas summer. Anyway, this arangment lasted for about one or two months then we moved into a new house out in the country. It is sooo pretty in the country and there were cows close to our house. I wish my mom would have let me off the leash!!! Those cows looked like fun!!!! Well, we didn't have any fenced places to run, so my mom had to walk us one by one on leashes, but at least we could run around in the house. After a little while my grandparents helped my mom to make a pen that we could play in outside. It was smaller than our old backyard, but at least we could be outside and play!!!

This is all I have time for tonight. I'll try to be back tomorrow to finnish my life's story so far - Oreo
