Arrival Story:
Shammy is the family dog. She is the best dog, honestly. She LOVES her family and is a very loyal dog. We got her from a great breeder in Glouchester MA. She is rather BIG for a lab. Her dad was a show dog and was pretty big too. Mom was a black lab and dad, yellow. When Shammy was a pup, she didn't have that much interaction with her momma pup. She would be allowed to see her feeding and then other than that there was not much interaction, some, but not much. Shammy was the largest of the puppies in the litter, which were mixed, some black and some yellow pups. We couldn't have picked a better dog. She brings us joy everyday!
Bio:
Shammy is VERY protective of her home and family and always barks at random people walking by the house. She always has. If someone walks in the house, she lets you know. She holds down the fort, that's for sure. People are often scared of her, but she is very nice. She really doesn't like other dogs near or in her yeard, besides Louie. She does however play with the Great Dane down the street, but he can't handle her for very long. She is too bossy! She used to play with Bubba, a chocolate lab down the street. But, Shammy wasn't allowed to play with him anymore after he would come home all beat up. Bubba would try to hump Shammy, and she really didn't appreciate that, Tee Hee. She loves her belly rubbed and getting attention. She loves to be outside and play fetch. She is AWFUL on a leash and she is so strong, so it is hard for me to walk her. She goes crazy when she goes to Petsmart or Petco. She gets very excited! She loves car rides, but her fur doesn't look so hot on the black leather in my car. Oh well, I take her for rides all the time anyway. She loves sticking her head out the window and even though there is a full backseat for her to go in, she would rather sit in the front with me. She thinks she is a lap dog, yet she weighs almost as much as I do. I let her in sit in my lap anyway! After a few minutes, my legs go numb so it doesn't hurt. I've never met a smarter, more loyal, more loveable dog. She really is an amazing dog. Not to mention, spoiled rotten!
