Arrival Story:
After losing our 13-year-old Max, our house felt so quiet and empty. I couldn't take it, but my husband wasn't ready for another dog. He felt like he wasn't being loyal to Max by bringing home a new dog too soon. After about nine months, I was able to convince him that it would be alright to get a puppy. I went to an adoption event at a nearby park and met Eddie. I looked at more than one hundred dogs, and none of them caught my eye. I was about to leave without a new pup when I saw Eddie sitting all alone and looking very scared. He was filthy and smelly, but I immediately saw his potential. After a couple of baths and a thorough brushing, he was ready to meet my husband. They were instantly crazy about each other. They've been the best of friends ever since.

Bio:
Eddie has one ear that stands straight up and one that flops over. In true Border Collie fashion, he thinks that he is in charge of everyone else in the house. He thinks that we don't notice that he sneaks into our bed after we've fallen asleep at night.
