Deep Thoughts of the Day

Take a Deep Breath

So I guess the lack of diary entries is an indication to you that I've been one busy boy. Or at least keeping mom busy.

I've had this cough that just wouldn't go away - Dr. Weiss gave me pills (which I didn't like, but at least I got to eat cheese with them). Those didn't work. I had to go in for x-rays, then more x-rays, and all they did was make me feel drunk from the anesthesia. Dr. Weiss was at a loss for what was up with me.

One day my cough got worse and I just couldn't sleep at night at all. We don't have to go through all the details because it was so uncomfortable, but I started coughing 24-7, so Mom brought me to another doctor. They finally were able to figure out what was happening after they stuck a VIDEO CAMERA down my throat! Sounds cool, but sure not a lot of fun to have it done to you.

Turns out that I have asthma. Mom and grandmom have had asthma before too! I guess it runs in the family. All I have to say is that I am SO relieved!!! I can BREATH!! I never realized how refreshing a good deep breathe is.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for helping me through all the coughing. I feel so lucky that I had you guys around all the time to make me feel more comfortable. It sure would have been even tougher for me if I was home alone coughing....I love you guys!!!! Hopefully you've caught up on your lost sleep now that I'm doing better =)

Sincerely,
Tahoe "Cough Free" Chen

ps - Grandpa, do I really have to use my inhaler EVERY day? It's really know fun! Let's just go to the park instead.....

My New Friend Jane

I've got a new pal! Her name is Jane. Jane comes to see me EVERY DAY! And we go on these long walks and she gives me treats. I like her a lot.

"Thank goodness for Jane!" mom says. Guess it's because I no longer tear up her apartment out of boredom during the day. I thought she was having fun steam cleaning the carpet every day after work, but I guess not - looks like fun to me.

Mom seems much happier now that I have my new friend Jane to walk me every day!

Last week while Mom was gone "working" in Vegas, I got to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was so much fun, I felt like a prince! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for making me feel sooooo comfortable! I miss you guys already!

This morning was the first morning back in the apartment. Mom was petting me and she squealed like a little girl. I didn't know what made her so grossed out, but I guess it was because she found a tick on me. It just woudn't come off either...It took several pulls to get the darn thing to get off me. Mom was pretty grossed out by the whole thing. But I really couldn't care less, that's what comes with being a dog! I'd much rather romp through the grass and bushes and risk getting ticks than sitting at home all day!

I do have a bit of a cold right now though. I was up all last night sneezing. The sneezes just keep coming and coming! Achoo! I hope I feel better soon...
