Arrival Story:
We had searched for quite a while for a dog. We thought long and hard as to whether or not we wanted to "potty train" yet. We decided to adopt from the shelter. The first dog, wasn't a success... energy level way too high for the house, but luckily great friends of ours who had a lot more space than we did and gave her to them.
On one last attempt, this time at a neighboring city's shelter, we stopped in. My daughter and I were the only one's on this trip. As we walked by and looked in at all the dogs (of course wanting to bring each one home) we strolled by Max. At that time he was called "Anubis". Had to change that name being Anubis is the guardian of the "underworld" in Egyptian mythology. We stopped, looked at him and read on his bio that he scored an A+ on his 'safer' score and that he was excellent with kids and other animals. I started to walk away and he put his paw on the kennel door and looked at me as if to say "I promise I'll be good". So, we had an interaction with him and the rest is, as they say, history. He's proved to be an AWESOME dog. We absolutely adore him.

Well, I did my best to look at the camera for the new photos. I really don't like having that thing pointed at me. Mom says it's ok, but I still don't like it. Anyway, as you can tell... Jacob is my trainer. Even though he gets the urge to squeeze me and sometimes tries to sit on me, he really is good to me. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't get so many treats... he's always asking if he can give me treats. I just sit back, cross my paws and hope that Mom gives him the bag! She always says 'just one' though... I don't understand that.

Well, let me say I'm excited. I've only been on dogstger since Friday, May 19th, 2006 and I already have 7 friends! I even invited my first friend to be pals. My mom frequently talks about this guy Ralphie from San Diego... apparently his mom and mine work together so I asked him to be my pal. Please invite him to be your pal. Again, his name is Ralphie and he lives in San Diego. You'll know you have the right guy if he's got a chew toy in his mouth with a star on one end. He's a really great guy.
