Arrival Story:
My husband wanted a crocodile, turtle and/or basset hound. I told him he could have a crocodile or a turtle AND a basset hound. We were looking around at pet stores and shelters for weeks and one day we checked back at the shelter (I always want to rescue a dog first) and there was Joey waiting for us.

Bio:
Doug wanted to name him Joey Bishop after Joey Bishop. So we did, and later that week found that we had adopted him on Joey Bishop's birthday. Doug is a writer and decided to write the human Joey Bishop and tell hin of this and in turn he received a picture with the words "Doug, Thanks for naming the dog after me! -Joey Bishop" How cool is that!?!
