My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And OH...her many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
GOD also loves our canine friends,
HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!

What a wonderful poem Fancy. I hope you do not mind that I borrowed it to send to a good Scottie friend that is crossing the bridge today. I hope Haley meets up with you and you two have a good romp. She is done fighting a fierce battle with cancer.

Maggie and Duffy Please Take it and send it on. Mom's Sister sent this poem to Mom a couple days after I went to the Bridge.
I made mom Smile :)

We will all watch for Haley and make sure she makes it here safe and sound. God love her Family and prayers go out to them.
