Arrival Story:
We adopted Harley when he was just 5 weeks old. I was 9 at the time and he is my very first dog. My family and I went to a rescue organisation and spotted a litter of Jack Russell mixes. My mum originally wanted a female, so we took one out to the grass area and she was quite timid and shy. My sister and I spotted this boisterous male puppy who was barking at his littermates as they were trying to get to sleep. We decided to take him outside to the grass area and he was running around all over the place and interacting with the other dogs out there. From that moment on we knew he'd be part of our family.

Hi Everyone

Boy isn't this place neat? I'm new here, and I love meeting all these different dogs and making new friends. I'm quite the social dog. The only dogs I don't like are very large dogs (I can sometimes be affraid of them, and I'll hide behind my owner if they come too close... but don't tell anyone, ok?). When I was a small puppy I got bitten by a big black Labrador, which was really scary.

I'm a very intelligent dog and love to out-smart anyone! I love to run around at the park, and if you throw me a tennis ball (my favourite toy) I won't give it back because I love chewing on them. My favourite place to go for walks is a cool park near my house, which is near the water. It's a huge park and lots of dogs go there. I love the freedom and I love to play with the other dogs there.

Last weekend I had to go to the vet for vaccinations. That wasn't very fun, I can tell you that! I always get so anxious when I have to go to the vet. I hate leaving all my family behind. I heard Abby (my doggy sister) was waiting for me at the front door the whole time I was gone!
