Not that he could ever replace the first, just that there was something missing in my life. That's when I decided to start looking for either a labradoodle, or another cockapoo. I spent months online looking for a breeder of larger cockapoos that did all the testing on the parents. I tried to find one that was not out there to gouge you with the price since this cross has become so popular lately. I found a great Breeder in TN that did all of the testing and also whose price was just what I was looking for. She also bred labradoodles, but my heart took me to another cockapoo. She just happened to have a litter of large cockapoos she thought would be a bout 45 lbs and had a few available. I put my name in for one and the rest is history. Bio: Buddy came to me via Delta Airlines and he was ten lbs when he arrived. By his 1st birthday he was over 60 lbs. He is the most inteligent, fun and happy dog I have ever seen. He makes me laugh everyday with his silly antics and his stealing ways. He doesn't steal to destroy, only for attention so he can trade for a treat! What a riot. We love this wonderful dog. Forums Motto:
We went to this new hotel in Ocean Beach that was right next door to DOG BEACH. Can you get any better than that? How about a doggie run right outside your hotel room so that you can run and play with all the other dogs that are staying there too? We didn't even have to walk up and down stairs or walk a mile to find grass to do our business on...... Mom really like that :)
Dog Beach was really fun, there was an inlet where there were no waves at all. We could run and play and walk right into the water without getting spalshed by those rude waves.
It's been a while since Mom has updated and a bunch more things have been going on, but she said that will have to wait till next time.
She promises it won't be months..........
My dear sweet pal Jackpot "got me" in a game of Valentine Day.
Here's the rules:
In Valentine Day Tag, you write your five Valentine Day wishes in a diary entry, then choose five of your pup pals and have them write down five of THEIR wishes. Then they choose five pup pals... and so on and so on.
You can let your five pup pals know that they have been tagged by paw mail, or rosette. Have fun and I hope all of your Valentine Day wishes come true!
My 5 Valentine wishes are:
1. Dog park visits everyday
2. Trips to the beaches in CA as much as possible
3. Outings with just me and Mom (without the pipsqueek)
4. Hugs kisses and lovin without Kona buttin in!
5. A home like mine for every pup out there
That's my 5 wishes, and my 5 Valentine tag pals are
Wow, we have been very busy and mom has not been able to update my diary for a while!
We had a great Christmas Vacation visiting my grandpawrents in Reno. It was my first time in snow, and even though there was not all that much I sure enjoyed rolling around in what I could find! We got to rent a van, and that was soooo cool. Sister Kona got the front seat next to dad, and lucky me, I got to sit, lay and cuddle next to mom the whole 7 hour ride. I was in heaven :P
I am taking intermediate obedience again only this time with dad :) Kona is with mom and everyone is so proud of how well I am doing with my seperation anxiety when mom is not around, or ignoring me when she is teaching Kona.
I finally did my last supervised nursing home visit this past weekend. The paperwork is in to make me an official Therapy Dog with Therapy Dog Incorporated. Mom is so proud of me, and I really enjoy meeting all the new people we go to see in the nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities. I really like the fact that it's just mom and I without the little pipsqueek hangin around!
Well.... I think we are caught up for now.
Buddy :P
