Arrival Story: Buddy was in the pound staring up at me. I asked him if he could sit and he did immediately. So then I stuck my hand through the bars and asked if he could shake. He did that, too. It was puppy love! He is a great dog. More than I could have ever hoped for. And so eager to please.

There's no beating around the bush with Buddy and flattery will get you nowhere. Buddy calls it like he sees it, and stands firm on all fours behind his decisions. The cat definitely does not have Buddy's tongueâ€â€some of his pals think he's bitter and confrontational, while others find him to be impawsibly hilarious. Buddy's influence on those around him is remarkable, and he takes advantage of this fact and uses it wisely. Behind his no-nonsense mask, Buddy is a perceptive sponge, taking in what he sees and hears around him, and then figuring out how to make it look, or sound, better.

Sadly not long after Buddy died, we heard about the pet food poisoning. Fortunatly we still had some old cans of dog food to confirm it. I posted one of the pics from when he was sick, so that people will understand the devastating impact that their mistake caused.

This page is now dedicated in loving memory of Buddy. He suddenly became ill and passed on. The vet is not sure what the actual cause was, but he had sudden kidney failure and there was nothing more that they could do for him. The smartest puppydog that looked up at me so helplessly from the cage in the pound will always be in my heart. I will always remember the trips to the dog park, playing fetch in the creek, and trying to stop him from chasing the kitties. I will never forget the tail wagging, the numerous tricks that he always impressed me with or the long cuddles on the sofa. I miss you so much Bud.

Well, last Thursday mom let me out to do my business, but I became distracted by that big yellow bus that passes my house everyday. I ran out to show that bus who was boss. It seems that the bus ended up teaching me a lesson. I was smaked pretty hard and came home to mom covered in blood. I had to spend a night at the vet. He told mom how lucky I was. I had a slight concusion, a few cuts, and my jaw was knocked out of socket. Mom says I'll be fine, and she has been giving some meds to make sure. Now I am not allowed to go outside alone. Lets hope I learned a lesson.
